In America, hundreds of people come together several times a year to recreate meaningful battles. World War II … The author of this series of works, decided not just to stand on the sidelines, observing the actions of the players, but to take an active part in such a large-scale event. Despite the conflicting feelings, the girl tried on the image of a German photojournalist, in order to fully experience the role of her character, and to capture everything that happens around as, in her opinion, it could have been in the distant 40s.
"My girlfriend Marisha Camp (Marisha Camp), which organizes and reconstructs the events of the Second World War, invited me to take part in such a significant event and act as a photographer. Despite my conflicting feelings, I made a difficult decision for myself, not only to take a series of photos, but also to become one of the participants, trying on the image of Leni Riefenstahl (German photojournalist and film director) in order to feel the whole essence of what is happening … not only had to get used to the role of my character, but also spent several years in a row in the fascist society of the Second World War, taking picture after picture. But still, the viewer needs to understand that this is just our assumption and vision of how everything could have happened in the distant 40s … "- says the photographer and the participant Stacy Kranitz (Stacy Kranitz) about his photography project "Unknown Targets" (Targets Unknown).
