However, Saparman himself, also known as Mbah Gotho, is always ready to show his Indonesian documents, which indicate that he was born on December 31, 1870.
That year, Mba Goto celebrated his birthday with his relatives at his home on the island of Java. Among others, his grandson Suriyanto came to him with his wife and two children. In fact, Mba Goto had to bury many in his long life: he outlived all his ten siblings and all four of his wives, the last of whom died in 1988.
All the children of Mba Goto also died, and therefore, of the man's relatives, only his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren remained. This certainly brought a lot of grief to Mba Goto, but the thirst for life always outweighed. Even now, at 146 years old, he can still move independently.
If the age of Mba Goto is confirmed, this will make him officially the oldest person on the planet, because until now this title was held by the Frenchwoman Jeanne Kalman, who lived for 122 years. However, when Mba Goto turned 122, the grandchildren began to mentally prepare that Mba Goto was about to die. However, more than 20 years have passed since then, and grandfather is still alive, eats whatever he likes, and does not even get sick.
“We prepared a tombstone for him back in 1992. And this, for a minute, 24 years ago,” says the grandson of Mba Goto. The grandchildren even dug his grave - next to the graves of his children. But it seems that Mba Goto has other plans in this regard. True, the old man's eyes are already failing, and he does not see the TV well, but he listens to the radio with pleasure. Over the past six months, the old man has passed a little, and he has to be fed from a spoon and take help when bathing. Otherwise, Mba Goto is doing quite well, and who knows, perhaps next year he will again celebrate his next birthday on New Year's Eve.
