More than 10 years ago, a very unusual and even, one might say, scandalous park opened in South Korea Jeju loveland … Everything that is on its territory in a very frank form reveals the theme of intimate life, and this is more than 140 sculptures, educational films and a variety of artistic and interactive works. "No taboos, only the beauty of natural sexuality!"

The park is called "." Of course, some might say that such immoral sculptures have nothing to do with love. But here it is important to know the history of the emergence of this park. After the Korean War, the island where it is today Jeju loveland, has become an extremely popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. Warm climate, beautiful landscapes - Korean newlyweds flocked here like bees to honey. However, the traditions of the country provided for the conclusion of marriages by agreement of the parents, and often the newly made husband and wife saw each other for the first time right at the wedding. Considering that the knowledge of young Koreans about intimate life was at an unacceptably low level, a sex education center was opened on the island. Moreover, even hotels got involved: they had dedicated employees to help overcome the stiffness and shame of young couples.

At the initiative of one of the Seoul universities in 2002, 20 sculptors began to create works for the future park, which opened two years later. It covers an area of about two football fields, and all the sculptures can be easily walked around in an hour. In addition, in addition to the permanent exhibition, there are also exhibitions of works by contemporary Korean artists in the park, which change every month.

Those who are worried about the moral education of little Koreans are in a hurry to reassure the park organizers: only visitors over 18 years old are allowed into the park, and there is a small playground (quite decent) for children, where you can play while adults learn new beddings carved in marble.

Despite the defiant theme of the park, its goal is, of course, not at all to spread pornography, but to destroy the existing taboos around sexual life. However, Loveland Park is not the first to tackle such a delicate topic: more than a dozen erotic books, so frank and scandalousthat even today not everyone dares to publish or read this.
