He claims that he was Native American in several past lives and that he has connections with other worlds. Be that as it may, in this life he is an artist who creates incredible psychedelic paintings, the plots of which are based on ancient cultures and other dimensions. His name speaks for itself - Myztico.
Myztico Campo, or simply “Tiko” was born in Cuba. When he was less than a year old, his parents took him to New York. He grew up in the heart of Times Square, the so-called Hell's Kitchen. “The world in which I grew up, as it were, consisted of two worlds. One of them consisted of theaters, the other of bars and prostitutes. It was as if I was somewhere in between,”says the artist. Since childhood, he was fond of cowboys and Indians, whom his father painted. Young Mystico was fascinated by the way images grow from lines, and since then art has taken possession of him for life. He spent long hours with coloring books, drawing skeletons, dinosaurs, skeletons and some strange creatures.
In addition to his father, he was influenced by artists such as Max Fleischer, Robert Crumb, and Marvel comics. Already at the age of 11, he received an award from the Manhattan School of the Arts. From the age of 15 he successfully plays in the theater, but at the age of 20 he returns to painting, as well as to music - he plays the guitar in local bands (later he even expects a tour of the USA and Europe) and shows his work in various galleries in New York, Boston and other cities. From the age of 17, he began to be interested in ancient worlds and other dimensions.
In 2004, he studied at the Academy of Digital Cinema, where he shot a short student film based on his own script called “The StarSeed Incident”, for which he also drew an animation. The artist also received an award for him. Most of his paintings are painted in acrylics on canvas, and mystical surrealism and other dimensions have had a significant impact on his paintings. The artist talked about how he went back in time and swept the ancient worlds through meditation.
“All subtypes of art run parallel to each other. We live in a time when in order to reflect what you feel, to tell your story to the world, you need to combine them.” It may sound strange, but I feel a connection with the Native Americans, with the spirit of ancient cultures. I have been Native American in several of my lifetimes.”. Modern society has completely lost touch with the energy of Mother Earth. The world is made up of many dimensions, and everyone has the potential to explore them. However, no one is interested in this,”- shares his feelings Tico.
Now Miztico is working on a series of paintings, the themes of which are related to ancient cultures: shamanism, the time of the creation of the world, entheogen, the era of the Sumerians, Maya (for example, he has an unusual painting dedicated to 2012) and the energy of the Earth. He also studies and continues to make music, settling in England, playing in two groups there, and also designing T-shirts.

Holy fools in Russia and in other cultures: holy marginalized or madmen
In the old saying that “in Russia, the holy fools are loved”, the holy madmen were gradually replaced by “fools”. However, this is fundamentally wrong. The phenomenon of foolishness, widespread in ancient times in our country, carried an important social and spiritual function. Interestingly, apart from Russia and Byzantium, there are few examples of this kind in history, however, in different cultures there were sometimes shocking marginals who tried to draw attention to social or religious norms, publicly violating them
How did they treat sleep and dreams in Russia: What was the Bayun cat, what is the danger of insomnia and other ancient beliefs
Sleep in old Russia was taken very seriously. It was believed that this is an opportunity to visit the other world, look into the future or the past, see people long gone and even find out your fate. Many characters in fairy tales and lullabies were credited with the ability to establish sleep or deprive a person of this benefit. From the beginning of the 19th century, the heroes of the dream world began to be described in literary works, their images were used in painting and music. Read what the cat Bayun was like, was there a fabulous dream-herb
Ksenia Sobchak and Sergey Zverev and other stars who hate each other
We have already written that the stars know how to be friends, but many of them are much better at being at enmity. You don't have to go far for examples: every day in the news there is information that certain celebrities have not shared something with each other. And sometimes the usual small conflicts grow to such proportions that celebrities openly declare their hatred and are not even afraid to embark on the warpath. What kind of black cat ran between famous people that they are ready to scratch each other
Who was frightened with buttons and why in the old days: Ancient secrets of an ancient accessory
“You can become an archangel, a fool or a criminal, and no one will notice it. But if you don't have a button, everyone will pay attention to it,”wrote Erich Maria Remarque. Of course, the writer meant something somewhat different, but a button is a really important element of clothing, because historically it had not one, but five functions at once
Portraits and other paintings from molten and rolled plasticine. Creativity of the Mondongo art group
I can confidently assume that working with plasticine, forming from it people and animals, plants and fruits, buildings and cars, had, if not everyone, then every second person, and if not in kindergarten, then in the lower grades. However, I have never seen a grown-up treat him as a serious material for creativity. Although the artists Juliana Laffitte, Manuel Mendanha and Agustina Picasso, part
