Feelings in the light of spotlights: How the office romances of Soviet celebrities ended

People in creative professions, as a rule, have the ability to emotionally perceive all the events taking place around them. If the actor has to play great feelings in the frame, then it is very often difficult not to let them splash out into real life. That is why very often on the set, not invented, but real passions boil. For some, office romances end with a trip to the registry office, for others, they become the tragedy of their whole life.

Svetlana Kryuchkova and Yuri Veksler

They met in 1975, when Svetlana Kryuchkova came to Leningrad to shoot the film "Elder Son". She came to the set fully armed: a high platform, defiant cleavage, a daring look. And she was ready to rebuff everyone who said something bad about her. Yuri Veksler, the chief operator, took her to the dressing room and examined her for a long time. Probably, for the first time in her life, Svetlana saw such a sincere admiration in the eyes of a man. By the end of the short conversation, she was already in love with him.

He was 10 years older than her, shorter, with funny red freckles and pink ears. But Svetlana did not care what he looked like. She loved him recklessly. And Yuri sculpted it, making his beloved brighter, cleaner, more educated, more beautiful. He instilled in her taste and manner, taught her how to dress and apply makeup.

When the girl became pregnant, a misfortune happened, Yuri Veksler was hospitalized with a heart attack. Doctors offered to decide what is more important for her: the birth of a child or the salvation of her husband. They believed that she could not pull both lives on herself. But she did it. She left her husband, gave birth to a son.

Later, their relationship changed. Svetlana Kryuchkova is sure that he, too, was a victim of professional jealousy. It was difficult for him to come to terms with the fame of his wife while he was constantly as if in her shadow. Some time after the divorce, he married again. And soon he had a second heart attack, which he no longer suffered. She could have saved him, but there was already another next to Yuri. More than 25 years have passed since his death and there was not a single day that Svetlana Kryuchkova did not remember her loved one.

Inna Ulyanova and Boris Goldaev

She was already 30 when Inna Ulyanova, having come to work at the Taganka Theater, met Boris Goldaev. She fell in love almost at first sight. Despite the huge difference in outlook and views on the future life, a romance began, which soon brought the lovers to the registry office. Boris Goldaev offered her a hand and a heart, despite the fact that Inna was a girl from a wealthy family. Her father was the deputy minister of the coal industry, thanks to which he enjoyed numerous privileges. Boris Vasilievich considered this a significant drawback, experiencing an almost class intransigence towards benefits. He was going to make a name for himself in politics.

But they broke up not at all because of this. Inna Ulyanova was so passionate about the profession that she even talked about her roles and creative plans at home. She was much less interested in household trifles and family problems. But she really loved her husband, and when he began to dance with Anastasia Vertinskaya at some party, Inna Ulyanova threw a real scandal to her husband. He called her a bourgeois and left, slamming the door.

Inna Ivanovna was never married again, but she had a long affair with a French pilot. But the actress did not dare to leave for France to her beloved, fearing to harm her father. Inna Ulyanova died in an ambulance, which was called by neighbors, concerned about the long silence in her apartment.

Mikhail Zharov and Lyudmila Tselikovskaya

They met during the filming of the movie "Air Carrier". When, according to the script, Mikhail Zharov was supposed to hug the actress, helping her to get down to earth, he realized that he was gone. Lyudmila Tselikovskaya at that time was only 23 years old, he was already over 40. But the actress could not resist the pressure of Mikhail Zharov. Both of them were not free, but how could this interfere with their feelings?

Soon they already lived together and even formalized their relationship. Many considered this marriage doomed. But Mikhail Zharov was ready for anything for the sake of his beloved. He even decided to shoot a film as a director, and gave the main role, of course, to his wife. But this could not keep Lyudmila Tselikovskaya. Her marriage to Mikhail Zharov broke up five years later, when the actress met Karo Alabyan, who became her greatest love.

Rostislav Plyatt and Vera Maretskaya

They very often played spouses in films and on stage. But feelings existed not only on stage. All colleagues knew: Rostislav Plyatt was in love with Vera Maretskaya. And from the age of eighteen she was devoted to Yuri Zavadsky. She became his wife and became the mother of their only son. But her husband's constant infidelities did not make her happy.

Rostislav Plyatt was there all the time, looked at her with loving eyes, was ready to fulfill any of her wishes. Vera Maretskaya encouraged him, but she could not leave Yuri Zavadsky. However, he himself left her for Galina Ulanova. But by that time, exhausted by the ambiguity of his position, Plyatt had already managed to get married. And yet he made an attempt to be with Maretskaya. After her second husband died at the front and she was left alone, Plyatt collected things and came to her. But Maretskaya did not want to change anything in her life.

Life has put everything in its place. Rostislav Plyatt survived Yuri Zavadsky, Vera Maretskaya and his first wife Nina Butova. And then he got married a second time. Colleagues say that he was very happy in marriage with Lyudmila Maratova, a teacher at GITIS.

Tamara Nosova and Nikolay Zaseev

Tamara Novosa drew attention to him long before the first meeting, having seen the actor Nikolai Zaseev in the working materials of the film "Treasures of the Burning Rocks". And when they met, the feelings could no longer be stopped. But Nikolai Zaseev was married, a daughter was growing up in the family. Nevertheless, they met very often, he flew to her in Moscow, she hurried to Kiev at every opportunity. She survived the loss of an unborn child and demanded more and more insistently that her beloved divorce. But he could not leave his daughter. Tamara Nosova firmly said: he will never see her again.

And she kept her word. She was very poor, but all the scripts that Zaseev sent her, trying to help her beloved woman, sent back without even printing. Tamara Nosova ate in a free canteen, but categorically refused to appear with Zaseev. As a result, Tamara Nosova died in poverty and oblivion.

Office romance … Someone thinks that it is simply unacceptable, while others without looking back indulge in such love affairs. Sometimes office romances look like a farce, their development is followed as if they are watching a funny comedy. And there are office romances touchingly tender, very restrained, which then translate into a long and happy life together.
