Florian de Lasse is a talented photographer from France. Photocycle got the name "Inside Views", he debunks the myth of a glamorous lifestyle, a single rhythm in which the hearts of each and every one are beating. Somewhere in the distance, skyscrapers are shining, in the foreground - the comfort of rooms, the charm of silence. This is a peculiar form of voyeurism, and the more valuable are the shots snatched from the daily flow of life.
Commenting on her work, Florian de Lasse notes that she did not seek to capture a particular city, rather she wanted to convey the general mood: “In the all-consuming insomnia of megacities, illuminated by myriads of lights, there are islands of loneliness, hearts that beat, fragile, human hearts. This is human genius, his madness. The city is constantly overcrowded. He is about to swallow us."
Florian de Lasse does not focus on the city in which these or those shots were taken, but the American photographer Gail Halaban does not hide that she was spying on the private life of the Parisians and new yorkers … Her observations are no less fascinating.
