Video: Alien Chronicles, or Is There Life on Mars?

Is there life on Mars? Someone is waiting for the results of space research and official reports of scientists, and someone does not waste time and gives their own answer to this question, fantasizing and endlessly surprising us with variations on the theme "what could have been?" and "why not?"
One of the most interesting interpretations of the alien theme came from photographers and conceptual artists Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick. Their project "Mars: Adrift on the Hourglass Sea" consists of one painting, two dozen photographs, eight large sculptures of cement or cement and tin, and fifty small sculptures of tin and lead. …
Some of the landscapes that Kahn and Selesnik present to our attention are truly alien: the authors took them from the official NASA website. But another part of the images has a completely terrestrial origin: they can show the nature of the American states of Utah and Nevada.
In many images, we see an earthly woman who first came to an alien planet and studied it. However, she arrived on Mars not so much with a research goal as from despair, fleeing some terrible catastrophe that befell the Earth. At the same time, the woman discovers mainly the remnants of a former civilization: Mars does not give the impression of a prosperous and densely populated planet. And it is not surprising that in most of the images of the project there is a feeling of sadness and loneliness.
Richard Selesnik and Nicholas Kahn were born in 1964 in New York and London, respectively. The authors met while studying at Washington University in St. Louis, and a couple of years after graduation, in 1988, they began joint creative activities. Selesnik and Kahn mainly work on the creation of complex photo novels and sculptural installations.

What is the secret of the cult film of a native of Ukraine, without which there would be no "Starship Troopers" and "Alien": "Dune" by Khodorovsky
He was called the Prophet in the world of cinema. The unfinished epic saga Dune is one of the most famous cult films in film history. Only the enumeration of those who were involved in this picture has a powerful hallucinogenic effect. Reading this list, it may seem that all of this is too amazing to be true. Indeed, in what delusional dream it may occur to you that Salvador Dali and Mick Jagger can star in the same movie, and Pink Floyd and Magma write music

And today in our publication there is a delightful opening day dedicated to the genus of felines from famous contemporary artists
