Body painting, or painting on the human body, is not only the skill of the artist, but also of his models, because sometimes they have to work on the brink of their capabilities. So, just recently we told how an artist Emma Hack "forced" 17 painted models to depict a car wrecked in an accident, which was necessary for a social advertising campaign for safe traffic. And her colleague, an artist Trina Merry from San Francisco, made of people live motorcycles to attract public attention to the international motorcycle exhibition International Motorcycle Roadshow … The exhibit will open in early November in Atlanta, and Trina Merry's job was to create an attractive, unusual and highly creative publicity for the event. In cooperation with the Human Motorcycles agency and the SPEED TV sports channel, the concept of the art project was developed, and most importantly, the sketches of future motorcycles were made from living people. So, the sketches already provided for how the acrobats should bend, twist or stretch, so that the result is a "sculpture" of a sports bike. The motorcyclist was portrayed by the famous TV presenter Erin Bates.

For the advertising project, gymnasts were chosen who are able to hold out in one position for two minutes. Trina Merry painted their bodies "like motorcycles", choosing three motorcycle images - a sport bike, an SUV and a cruiser. Why only three, you ask? The fact is that such body painting, with the participation of a group of people, takes a lot of time and effort, in particular, from models. So, the creation of one image took almost the whole day, and a creative group of two masseurs, a choreographer and a yoga instructor worked on it. Not to mention guest photographers, designers and lighting designers. The motorcycle exhibition opens on November 2, and you can see what happened behind the scenes in the video:
