The Baker family passionately wanted to have children, but, unfortunately, all their attempts did not lead to success: in 8 years, Stacy had 6 miscarriages, and her husband Chad had twice exacerbated cancer. There seemed to be no hope. However, the husband and wife decided on a difficult decision: to turn to the services of a surrogate mother. Despite their fears, it was this decision that radically changed their lives - now Chad and Stacy have two beautiful children.

Chad and Stacey Baker (Chad, Stacey Baker) were madly in love with each other, but they could not have children. For Stacey, all pregnancies ended in miscarriages, and Chad's brother had twice exacerbated cancer in 8 years, which almost drove him to the grave. Chad had to undergo severe chemotherapy, there were even moments when he himself did not believe in his healing. The Bakers got married in 2004 and three years later Stacey had her first miscarriage. The doctor reassured the disconsolate spouses, saying that they are not alone in their grief - approximately 10-25 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage, and 80% of them occur within the first 12 weeks. In 2010, when Stacey had her third miscarriage, Chad was diagnosed with a malignant testicular tumor, which put at risk not only his ability to become a dad ever, but his entire life. "Those were very depressing times," Stacey says. "This whole story of cancer and infertility has been going on for years."

In 2013, Chad and Stacy decided to put an end to their attempts to have a child. It was around this time that they hired Summer Marnin, a single mother raising two daughters, to look after their Labrador Daisy. Touched by the Baker family history, Summer once sent them a message, "How old can you become a surrogate mother?" - so Chad and Stacey first thought about such an unusual solution to their problem. Summer became a surrogate mother for their child. Stacy's fertilized egg was placed in her uterus, so the baby was not genetically Summer's baby. In order for the pregnancy to happen for sure, Summer was planted with two eggs at once - and both took root, giving birth to a boy and a girl. However, even here tragedy lay in wait for the Bakers - they could not bear the girl, there was a miscarriage, but the boy was born healthy and strong. "When the doctor came out and said that we have a son, we probably sat there for a minute and just smiled."

"But happiness was mixed with grief. Just understand - we waited so much for this child - eight years! Our best years were spent giving birth to a child, and this decision brought us so much grief. So when we came home that day, we cried all night. " Nevertheless, it was one of the happiest days of their lives, and while the Bakers were preparing their home for the baby, the question naturally arose - what to do with the third fertilized egg, which was frozen at the same time as the first two. It seemed wrong to them to ask Summer to carry their baby again. And she herself did not want to do it again. However, this time word of mouth worked. Chad's stylist knew about the Baker problem, and he told his friend Tiffany, and Tiffany discussed this situation with her husband, with whom they had two children of their own. She understood how important it can be to become a parent, and she wanted to give this feeling to other people."I would not give birth to a child for someone who would not appreciate it and who would not love their children as I love mine," - says Tiffany.

The bakers met with Tiffany and her husband, and discussed the situation for a long time. They liked each other. Girl Headley was born three weeks ahead of schedule, but quickly gained the necessary weight, and was, in principle, a wonderful healthy child. When Tiffany had to give her away, there was no regret in the woman - only the realization that she was doing the right thing. "I felt that I was doing the right thing, that everything was as it should be."

The bakers say that they never washed dirty linen in public, they always tried to keep their problems to themselves. However, this whole situation changed their attitude to the existing problem. Both of them now admit that if they had never told anyone about what really bothers them, they would not have two wonderful children now. The Bakers are not going to hide from their children how they were born - photos of Summer and Tiffany hang in the children's bedrooms - and the Bakers think that's right.

Babies who have miscarried mothers are called "rainbow babies." We recently wrote about completely magical photo shoot, in which mothers of such long-awaited children were accepted.
