These girls in Soviet times were the real favorites of the audience. Some of them played a major role in the film and became famous, while others did not go unnoticed as a supporting actress. However, each of these girls deserved respect for their patience and perseverance, because on the set they had the same load as adult actors. Who have young talents become after they matured?
Inga Ilm
The charming Masha Startseva from "The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin", after receiving a certificate, did not enter the university, as she originally wanted, but the Moscow Art Theater School, after which she left for the USA. True, she returned very quickly, unable to accept and understand the pragmatism and orderliness inherent in the Americans. After returning, she served in the Pushkin Theater, acted in films, worked as a presenter on television, was engaged in her own documentary project "Another Life". Together with her husband, they founded their own publishing house, she wrote a book about the life and work of Charles Cameron. Then she decided to fulfill her childhood dream and entered the history faculty of Moscow State University, choosing to specialize in the artistic culture of Russia in the first half of the 18th century, and in 2018 she published the book “My Italy”. Today Inga Ilm is an art historian and does not plan to return to cinema and theater.
Olga and Tatiana Yukin
Unfortunately, the Yukina sisters, after the loud fame that followed the shooting in the fairy tale "The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors", starred in an episode of the movie "Frost", and then disappeared from the screens. They could not enter the theater, graduated from a mechanical engineering college, but did not work in their specialty. But they were able to get a job at Intourist and for many years were responsible for sending Soviet tourists abroad, where they themselves have been more than once. After perestroika and dismissal, Olga and Tatyana Yukins were interrupted by odd jobs, were addicted to alcohol and sold their own property. Then they worked at the military registration and enlistment office. Olga died in 2005 of a heart attack, Tatiana survived her for six years and passed away in 2011 from atherosclerosis.
Ksenia Filippova
She was remembered by the audience for the role of the Iron Button in the movie "Scarecrow". Two years later, Ksenia starred in the film "Troika" and never returned to the set. After graduating from school, she entered the Faculty of Economics at MGIMO, worked for several years at the Rolan Bykov Foundation, served as an economist in a bank, and then in an advertising agency and an art gallery. The most important thing that she gained after filming in "Scarecrow" is personal happiness. After all, she married a young man who once wrote a letter to the Iron Button. She has been living with him for over 30 years.
Oksana Alekseeva
The young actress, who played Maya Svetlova in the film "The Adventures of Electronics", did not begin to associate her life with cinema, but chose a specialty not connected with art in any way. She graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Odessa and became an economist-programmer. For many years she lived in Minsk, where she worked as an executive director in a private company. She traveled a lot, raised her son, studied languages and was fond of skiing, tennis and driving. In 2006 she got married for the second time and moved to her husband in the city of Lyon in France.
Veronica Lebedeva
The little traveler from the movie "Foundling" charmed millions of viewers with her spontaneity. At the time of filming, she was only four and a half years old, but she really worked on the set, like an adult. True, sometimes taking breaks for drawing or playing with a doll. Growing up, she decided not to associate her life with cinema, became an English teacher, worked at school for many years, served as an editor and reviewer in publishing houses. Later, she helped her husband, writer Igor Sinitsyn, known under the pseudonym Yegor Ivanov, in her work. After suffering a stroke, she limits her connection with the outside world, preferring, for the most part, to communicate only with her daughter Marina.
Natalia Zashchipina
A charming girl who starred in the films Once upon a time there was a girl, The Elephant and the Rope and The First Grader, having matured, entered the course of Olga Pyzhova at VGIK, and after graduation was accepted into the troupe of the Theater of Satire under the direction of Valentin Pluchek. It was he who set the condition for the young actress: not to act in films until she becomes a good theater actress. This was the reason that the actress starred very little in adulthood. But from the beginning of the 2000s, Natalya Zashchipina began to appear on the screens again. Today she still serves in her native theater, where she is involved in two productions. The only thing she regrets is that she is too serious about the ban on Valentin Pluchek. After all, she received a lot of offers from directors about filming, but she refused everyone. She became a good theater actress, but she has very few movie roles.
Another idol of Soviet schoolchildren was Tatyana Protsenko, who played Malvina in the fairy tale "Buratino". She did not continue her acting career, for a long time nothing was known about her fate, and in May 2021 she was gone.
