When this singer passed away a year ago, this fact went unnoticed for the general public. For modern listeners, the name of Valentina Dvoryaninova does not mean anything, but her voice is probably familiar to everyone. It was she who first performed the song "Tired Toys Sleep" in the program "Good night, kids" and in the 1960s-1970s. was a fairly famous singer. Unfortunately, the last years of Valentina Dvoryaninova were bleak - forgotten by everyone, she ended up in a nursing home …
Valentina Dvoryaninova was born in 1928 into a military family. Her father went through the First World War, the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War, and after that he continued to serve as a border guard officer. The family often moved from city to city, and Valentina's mother played and sang in army amateur groups at her husband's place of service. She passed on her love for the stage to her daughter. During her school years, she studied vocals at the Palace of Pioneers in Tbilisi, then entered the music school in Odessa and performed in the border ensemble, and after the war she moved to Moscow, where she continued her studies at the music school at the conservatory.
At the age of 25, Valentina Dvoryaninova began performing in the choir on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, 4 years later she became a soloist of the orchestra under the direction of Oleg Lundstrem, and then a soloist of the Mosconcert. She was the first performer of the songs "Kalina Krasnaya", "How Do You Serve", "Karelia", etc., and often sang off-screen when scoring feature films. It was her voice that sounded in the song "Two Shores" in the film "Thirst", after which the singer Maya Kristalinskaya included this composition in her repertoire. Dvoryaninova was the first to perform the song "Tired toys are sleeping" in the program "Good night, kids". For 12 years, all Soviet children fell asleep to her voice.
In the 1960-1970s. Valentina Dvoryaninova was a fairly famous singer: she performed on the stage, at the Yunost radio station, on television in the Good Morning program, at group concerts at important events in Moscow and Leningrad, and toured the USSR and abroad. She became the owner of many prestigious awards, was a laureate of the All-Union Contest of Variety Artists in 1962 and the Festival of Youth and Students in Havana in 1978. Many of her songs were included in the golden fund of the national stage.
The singer was a real beauty, but her personal life did not work out. She was never married. Millions of babies in the USSR knew her voice, but she was not able to sing a lullaby for her children - she never knew the joy of motherhood. Constant rehearsals, concerts and tours left no time for personal life. She devoted her whole life to the stage and creativity, for many years she was quite successful and in demand in the profession, but at the same time she was not a “star” and did not gain any material wealth. She remained to live in a small room in a Moscow communal apartment. Dvoryaninov did not wait for any titles - neither an honored artist, nor a national one.
In the 1990s. Valentina Dvoryaninova was a member of the Council of Veterans of the Central Order of Friendship of Peoples of the House of Artists and continued her concert performances, but was not known to the general public. Even those generations who grew up on her songs did not know her name. Dvoryaninova's voice, very gentle and sonorous, was familiar to many, but the singer herself often remained behind the scenes.
The last 30 years of her life were bleak - the Soviet stage has sunk into oblivion and was consigned to oblivion, the public in the new century has new idols. Valentina Dvoryaninova was left all alone. She had no family, and of all her relatives, only her only nephew, Peter, kept in touch with her. Together with him, the elderly singer was visited by his friend, Vladimir Polishchuk, who helped take care of her in recent years.
After 80 years, her health deteriorated greatly, she needed constant care, and no one had the opportunity to be with her around the clock. Therefore, the relatives decided to take her to a private boarding house near Moscow for single elderly people. Valentina Dvoryaninova agreed to this voluntarily - she herself understood that she needed qualified help. Vladimir Polishchuk explained: "".
Of all her colleagues, Valentina Dvoryaninova for many years was friends only with her namesake, Valentina Tolkunova. Surprisingly, they both left on the same day - March 22, only with a difference of 10 years: Tolkunova died in 2010, and Dvoryaninova - in 2019. At that time she was 91 years old, she lived a long and rich life, but she could hardly be called happy …
Despite the fact that a colleague and friend of Valentina Dvoryaninova achieved more ambitious successes and all-Union fame, her fate was also difficult: What was hidden behind the smile of the "Russian Mona Lisa" Valentina Tolkunova.

Why the youngest daughter of Alexander II ended up in a nursing home
Catherine, the youngest daughter of Alexander II, lived a long life, was married twice and gave birth to two sons. Her happy childhood was spent in the luxury of the Winter Palace, and her beggarly old age - in a British almshouse. Both marriages were unsuccessful. Men loved by the emperor's heiress cheated on her and betrayed her. Born in a sinful relationship, she seemed to pay the price for the actions of her mother and for the suffering that she caused to the first wife of Alexander II all her life
Where did the first Russian snipers come from, and why did the enemy drummers get the first bullet?
It is impossible to establish the exact time period for the appearance of snipers. The closest thing to the truth is the statement that the jaeger military units stood at the origins of the sniper craft. During the rule of linear tactics, these units were formed by the most well-aimed marksmen, who operated in loose combat. The first jaeger battalion in the army ranks appeared in Russia in 1764. And although the gamekeepers are considered the predecessors of modern snipers, there was a significant difference between them
Why did the ex-model shoot her lover, or Why the prim British did not condemn the last woman executed in England
In the spring of 1955, the British public was shocked by a high-profile crime in the style of American gangster action. At the trial, the former fashion model behaved so worthily that she managed to win the hearts of even the most prim supporters of law. Ruth became the last woman to be executed in Great Britain, and her case is still considered one of the most significant for the 20th century
