Well, already on the threshold - a kind and bright, earthly and heavenly holiday of Christmas. In Christians all over the world, he awakens love and mercy, he is called the beginning of all holidays. On this day, the baby Jesus was born. He came to this world to suffer for his sins. On this holiday, real miracles are supposed to happen. Such a miracle of true love and kindness happened recently in Canada. This is a story about a cat who tried his best to survive. Life treated him very harshly, sending him trials more than he could bear. There was only one thing left - to knock on doors and ask for help.

On Christmas Day, the woman heard strange sounds coming from the backyard. She went there to find out what had happened there and saw a ginger cat standing in the snow and pawing at her door. He was dirty, mewed with hunger, and looked absolutely miserable.

The woman let the animal into the house, photographed and contacted Marie Simard, founder of Un Chat à la Fois, a kitten rescue service in Quebec, Canada. “My heart almost burst into small pieces when I saw him. I told her to take the cat to the vet, and within thirty minutes he was in our partner clinic,”said Simar.

“He got into the carrier without any problems. As soon as the cat got to the veterinarian, he was very calm, he allowed the doctor to have an examination, take a blood test and take X-rays. The animal was not wild at all,”said Marie Simard. She named the cat Aslan after the lion from the fairy tale saga The Chronicles of Narnia.

“We thought he was just lost because he was too friendly to be born on the street. He did not have a microchip, and he was not castrated. Then we assumed it was abandoned by irresponsible owners. We have many cats abandoned by people who cannot afford to pay for veterinary services. We checked the information about the missing cats everywhere, but found nothing."

“Aslan had rotten teeth, frostbite, a bite wound (bleeding), fleas, worms, he had diabetes and skin allergies. His blood count was very poor and he had to stay in the hospital for several days before his condition stabilized. Only then could he be sent to a foster family."

“He underwent surgery for rotten teeth. He also had eye problems, which were resolved with surgery. The veterinarian said Aslan is so sick and exhausted that he would not have survived the winter if he had not received immediate help.

Aslan was very grateful to the people who answered his requests for help. Simar said that the cat was very nice to the clinic staff and even put its paw out of the cage for people to pet him. All this love and care helped him greatly to improve his health. In just a few days, Aslan recovered and was ready to go to the orphanage.

When the red furry was already in perfect order, the foster family began to prepare documents for his adoption. The woman whose house the cat knocked on on Christmas said she wanted to take it for herself. Marie Simard agreed. “He befriended two rescue cats, Cleo and Jasmine. Unfortunately, Jasmine passed away, but Aslan is very close to Cleo. The kitten needs to eat a special diet due to diabetes, but he loves to eat! In fact, his mom needs to watch her plates very closely because Aslan doesn't hesitate to steal her food. Sometimes she makes an exception and treats him."

“Aslan is a very affectionate cat. He has forgotten about his hard street life, does not try to go out. He likes to sleep on my pillow. He loves to hug very much. " Everyone who was worried about the fate of the "Christmas" cat was incredibly happy to hear that he had recovered and now lives a happy life in a loving family. Such a wonderful Christmas story with a happy ending happened in Quebec, Canada.
