Galina Besedina graduated from a music school, but instead of starting a musical career, she entered the Moscow Art Theater School. And later she exchanged a wealthy life with her first husband for a tiny room in a communal apartment and a second marriage with a former front-line soldier who lost a leg in the war. Viktor Besedin made his wife's life look like a fairy tale, but for the last five years he was bedridden, and she was almost forever by his side. Why does Galina Besedina call these years the happiest?
Fear of loneliness
For the first time, Galina Katselnik (the singer's maiden name) did not marry out of great love, but out of fear of being left alone. She was already 23 years old, and Slava, whom she met by chance on the street, was very handsome - blond with blue eyes. He was a physicist and lived with his mother, and Galina's close friend, Tatyana Vasilyeva, warmly approved the candidacy of her future spouse, not forgetting to add that at her age, a friend can already, by all standards, be considered almost an old maid. The wedding was celebrated with the entire course of the Moscow Art Theater School.
After receiving the diploma, Galina Katselnik was supposed to be accepted into the troupe of the Mayakovsky Theater to replace Irina Pechernikova, who was going to get married at that time and leave for Poland. In order not to waste time, the actress decided to work while at the Mosconcert, especially since she had reading programs, and she also played the guitar well.
The girl went straight to the director, and on the stairs she suddenly heard a pleasant male voice, the owner of which admired her beauty. While she was in the office of the authorities, a stranger was waiting for her at the door, and then helpfully offered to give her a lift to Mosfilm, where she was going. Of course, Galina agreed, and then all the way she listened to the praises of a stranger to her own eleven-seater car. Saying goodbye, she imprudently called the car "Moskvich".
The accidental driver was offended for his outlandish Ford, but did not show it. After waiting for the girl to return, he took her further. Only on the way back Galina recognized the famous pop singer Viktor Besedin in her accidental driver. He immediately offered the girl a job in his team.
The happiness of being loved
Viktor Besedin immediately began to look after the girl, but she held the defense for six months. By that time he had already managed to marry and divorce twice, but Galina was married! Moreover, he was as much as 20 years older. The fact that Victor does not have a leg, which he lost during the war, when he served in intelligence, she did not immediately find out.
At first, the performer opposed the courtship in every possible way, called Besedin solely by name, patronymic, but soon gave up under the pressure of his charm. Victor Besedin was an amazing person. He helped not only his ex-wives, but also numerous women with whom he had affairs before meeting Galina, supported his old mother and niece, did not forget about his daughter from his first marriage, Anya.
But Galina had already considered her fate in him, immediately left her husband and settled in a rented room in a communal apartment with Victor. He was happy, despite the fact that everyone around him tried to convince him: the young beauty will take advantage of his connections and, having achieved recognition and fame, will certainly leave him.
But Galina was happy with Victor. He was ready to carry her in his arms, tried to fulfill all her desires and constantly pampered. Thanks to her husband, Galina Besedina met Mikael Tariverdiev, singing whose songs in a duet with Sergei Taranenko she became famous throughout the country.
Their house was constantly visited by guests, colleagues, Viktor's fellow soldiers, and Galina's friends came in. The relatives of the spouses were not at first delighted with their choice, but over time they resigned themselves. And Galina did not feel at all the age difference with her husband. He was always sincere and open, knew how to enjoy life, was happy when his wife became famous. And he always gave her complete freedom.
Even if he was jealous of Galina, he did not show his appearance, he knew that it was simply impossible to keep a person with restrictions. When she had an affair at the peak of her fame, and she was going to leave, he simply asked not to cut it off, but to make sure that she was not mistaken in her choice. Galina, by the way, quickly became disillusioned with her lover, and her husband never in her life reproached her for treason.
Happiness to love
On March 8, 1987, during a concert in the city of Nyagan, Viktor Besedin suffered a stroke right on the stage. The performer was in a coma for three weeks, after which he was transported to Moscow. Hard times have come for Galina. She suddenly faced the fact that her husband was bedridden, stopped moving and speaking.
Galina looked after her husband, although she was repeatedly offered to send him to a sanatorium, where, like a former front-line soldier, he would have the best conditions and high-quality medical care. But Galina Besedina could not imagine how it is possible to "hand over" a loved one to a sanatorium until the end of his days. She selflessly looked after her husband, hired a nurse only for the duration of the tour, and even then she tried not to leave for more than a few days.
In order for her husband to be constantly in the fresh air, Galina Ilyinichna completed the construction of a country house in record time, which they began with her husband. She also learned to drive a car to drive a loved one. She gathered her husband's friends in their house so that her husband would not feel unnecessary and abandoned, she herself tried to please him every day. He was not able to express his gratitude in words and just kissed her hands …
It was an extremely difficult five years. And yet Galina Besedina did not experience such happiness even at the time when she was bathing in the love and care of her husband. She realized that God gave her the opportunity to give her loved one her warmth, to give him more than he gave her. She considered it happiness to be able to give him the tenderness and love that he so generously bestowed on her throughout their marriage. For all five years, while Victor was ill, Galina Besedina herself never even caught a cold.
But when he was gone, she seemed to have lost the meaning of life. She was carried away by alcohol, which helped her to cope with hopelessness, and endlessly regretted that she had not given birth to a child from a loved one. Galina Besedina struggled with depression for several years and began to get sick often. And then, realizing that she was slowly killing herself, she was able to gather her will into a fist and return to normal life.
Galina Besedina began performing again, she even had fans, she was offered a hand and a heart several times. But she could no longer get married. Victor Besedin, her only true love, set the bar too high.
Mikael Tariverdiev once confessed his love to her, and then sadly remarked that he had no moral right to beat off Galina Besedina from the front-line soldier. Fortunately later Vera appeared in the life of the composer. Both of them had to live a double life, come up with their own system of principles of a happy life apart, in order to reunite and live together for 13 happy years.
