Have you thought that with the help of a simple photograph you can recreate a real and genuine, author's film masterpiece? Oklahoma photographer (Logan Zillmer) has shown that this is possible, using his camera and modern technology to create a conceptual, meaningful photograph that looks more like frames from a possible future or a fantasy film.
The main plot line of photographs is the desire to reflect the inner world and the experiences of the photographer himself, his desire to express himself through the unusual facets of art. Logan, inspired by the great maestro Charlie Chaplin, creates photographs that are on the verge of reality and madness. So, on them you can especially clearly trace the path of a hero similar to Chaplin, his ups and downs, walking on the peaks of this world and, of course, the airy lightness and weightlessness with which all his pictures are saturated.
Their originality, according to the author himself, does not come from thoughts or ideas: Zillmer cannot even explain to himself how this or that idea came to his mind, because they simply appear before his eyes, sometimes waking up in the middle of the night and forcing him to grab the camera. following the creative impulse. Each photograph is saturated with light, lightness and dynamics; in almost all works there is such an integral part as movement - somewhere, towards something or from someone. Perhaps this is a way to show your own development, a constant striving for something new that constantly haunts the photographer in his dreams.
His photographs are so cinematic in nature that even now take and write from them subjects for surreal, utopian films. By the way, this is Logan's main goal - to make his own film based on creativity, to become a part of the production process, to bring a bit of his own originality and talent into it. In the works of the photographer, the real and the unreal are intertwined: here is a huge man in strange clothes, thrown ashore by the sea waves, around which people crowded. Next to him is a guy in bright clothes, surrounded by dark domes of umbrellas of people hurrying somewhere, which, unlike him, look under their feet, and not up, where raindrops are intertwined in a dance.
Each of his photographs is already a kind of cinema, which makes us think about life, its meaning, how much we lose or gain at one time or another, about values, about pressing problems that torment the whole world, starting from environmental disasters and ending, perhaps, one of the most difficult problems of our time - the inability to find oneself in a noisy, stuffy world, constrained by frames and rules.
Artist Lacey Bryant, in her multifaceted paintings, creates. Her works are fascinating visualizations that tell mysterious stories on the verge of fiction and reality.
