Nathan Sawaya is well known to modern art lovers for his extremely realistic LEGO work. He is one of those artists who turned this children's fun into a special kind of modern art, and his sculptures can be seen in the best galleries around the world.

In his new exhibition, Savaya decided to combine sculpture and photography. He presented to the public a series of photographs that depict seemingly completely everyday situations - the life of a city street, parking cars in front of a supermarket, a swimming pool, a railway station, etc.

However, each of these photos contains one or more elements added there by the author and made by him using the LEGO constructor. In the case of the pool, it’s flip flops and a towel, in the parking lot, there’s a cleaning bucket and two clouds, and in the train station, there’s a train track.

The viewer can try to accept the unwritten rules of this game, invented by Nathan Savaya, and try to discover all these artificial elements in the pictures. At the same time, the LEGO constructions themselves used to create the photographs are located right there - in the hall of the museum, where the author's exhibition is taking place. So people can see firsthand what they just saw on the photographs hanging on the wall of the gallery.
