Many were surprised that Nikita Mikhailovsky played his star role at only 16 years old - both the members of the film crew and the audience were struck by his too serious and deep look for a teenager. He didn't need to be told how to portray romantic feelings on set. He behaved like a grown man, and did not get lost in front of his partner, who at the time of filming was already 23 years old. Tatyana Aksyuta managed to graduate from GITIS and get married, and it seemed to her that her partner, a schoolboy, was more mature than herself.

When Nikita was 3 years old, his parents divorced, and the boy was raised by his stepfather, Leningrad director Viktor Sergeev (who later took over as director of the Lenfilm film studio). But his own father, documentary filmmaker Alexander Mikhailovsky, did not stop communicating with him and tried to help and support in everything. Nikita had two fathers, and he greatly appreciated this, and therefore, when receiving a passport, he took the patronymic of his stepfather and the surname of his own dad.

Thanks to his stepfather, Nikita played his first film role at only 7 years old. Sergeev brought him to the shooting of the film "Night on the 14th parallel", where Valentin Gaft himself became his partner. On the site, the boy kept himself relaxed and did not hesitate, because from the age of 5 he participated in photo shoots for children's clothing magazines. After that, directors noticed Mikhailovsky and began to offer him new roles.

When Nikita was 16 years old, his mother died - she had a congenital heart defect. The shock he experienced was a heavy blow for him, his relatives said that after that he lived "in a state of collapse of the world around him." Hence the maturity beyond his years, and the depth in the eyes that so amazed his 23-year-old partner Tatyana Aksyuta.

In his life, everything happened very early - and the first heavy losses, and the first glory, and the first experience of family life, and fatherhood. Already at the age of 22, Nikita married his classmate Nastya and became the father of his daughter Sonya. This marriage lasted 3 years, but even after parting, Nastya Mikhailovskaya (nowadays a famous actress and fashion designer) always remembered him with warmth. The artist Ekaterina became the second wife of the actor. Together with her, Mikhailovsky arranged an exhibition of paintings, all the proceeds from which he handed over to seriously ill children. And soon he learned that he was diagnosed with the same disease from which he tried to save them - leukemia.

Nikita needed an expensive bone marrow transplant operation, which could be performed in London, and funds for it were raised by the whole world. His friends turned to Russian émigrés in Great Britain and even to Margaret Thatcher herself. Alas, all efforts were in vain. At the age of 27, Nikita Mikhailovsky passed away.

Everyone who knew him well said that it was impossible not to love him. He seemed to be a constant source of light. The words "love" and "friendship" were not an empty phrase for him - in life he was the same as his Romka, a knight from an ordinary Soviet school. A real romantic hero with a huge heart.

His first wife Nastya said that after the wedding they lived with her mother, and Nikita had his own apartment. Once his mother-in-law tried to hint to him that it was better for them to live separately, to which he replied: "". His apartment really became a haven for young actors and musicians who did not have their own corner. Mikhailovsky was ready to sacrifice his own comfort, not only for the sake of friends, but even for the sake of strangers. His stepfather recalled how one day, as a child, Nikita returned home without a jacket: when he saw a poorly dressed boy on the street, he took off his jacket and gave it to him.
