Models who walk the catwalk at fashion shows or beauty pageants give the impression of carefree beauties who are naturally given a lean physique and a pretty face. In fact, the story of each girl is unique, and some of them have to spend a lot of time and effort to build a career. For example, the Malaysian model Joanna Joseph, until the age of 16, was overweight and endured the ridicule of others, and her success today is the result of titanic work on herself.
Joanna was a well-fed child as a child, growing up, was diagnosed with obesity. She went to the first grade with a weight of 60 kg, by the age of 12 - the weight was striving for the 100 kg mark. Needless to say, the girl had no friends at school? She endured ridicule and reproaches, for some reason she did not find support even from her parents and teachers. The adults felt sorry for her, but no one made an attempt to help Joanna lose weight.
At the age of 16, Joanna admitted to herself that this could not continue. Eating incorrectly, she aggravates the situation every day. Not doing physical activity deprives yourself of the chance to change. Prior to that, Joanna ate high-calorie food in huge portions, and there was no question of a balanced diet. Her leisure time was spent at home on the couch, she listened to music and did not want to see anyone.
To break out of the vicious circle of "unhealthy lifestyle - excess weight - ridicule", she sat on a strict fruit and vegetable diet. I decided to try running at night in order to train without meeting anyone. Soon she noticed the first results - the weight began to melt day after day. For a year, Joanna was able to reduce her body weight by half: her new weight became 50 kg.
At the same time, drastic weight loss did not get rid of contemptuous looks. Acquaintances could not find an explanation for such changes and began to spread rumors that Joanna was using drugs. Everything changed only when the girl decided that she wanted universal recognition for her charm. She applied for a local beauty pageant, qualified and won the crown. Then there were several more competitions, and in all of them she invariably took first places. Only these victories made the haters look at her differently. This was Joanna's revenge, who from now on did not allow herself to be teased and impudent.
We recently talked about how a woman who weighed almost half a ton lost 80% of her weight … Her personal tragedy motivated her to lose weight, but after a while she returned to a full life.

Marlene Dietrich and Ernest Hemingway: more than friendship, less than love
The boundaries beyond which friendship between a man and a woman ends and something more begins is very difficult to define. Especially when it comes to creative individuals. Ernest Hemingway called his relationship with Marlene Dietrich "unsynchronized passion": he woke up feelings when she was not free, and vice versa. Their romance lasted almost 30 years - perhaps so long precisely because it remained epistolary (now they would say - virtual). But there was so much passion in these letters that
