Last fall, an Armenian model with an unusual appearance Armine Harutyunyan appeared at one of the shows of the Gucci spring-summer collection. After such a powerful debut (this is exactly the case, because the girl had never taken to the podium before), the most eminent fashion houses expressed a desire to offer her cooperation. However, upon returning to their homeland, the newly-minted star faced such a wave of hate that she was seriously thinking of quitting the conquest of the fashion industry. In addition, according to her, she was so inspired that her appearance was unattractive that she believed it. What's wrong with Armine?
The usual fate of an ordinary girl
However, although in her wildest dreams, Harutyunyan presented herself as the queen of the catwalk, she did not dare to seriously go into the modeling business. She was born 24 years ago in Yerevan. And, according to her, she saw herself as an artist in the future, dreaming of starring in some historical film. Nevertheless, the girl decided to follow in the footsteps of Khachatur Azizyan's grandfather, a famous artist in Armenia, and became an illustrator and graphic designer. However, this is not Armine's only hobby. As a child, she was friends with a boy who also loved the Mulan cartoon. The relationship faded away, but the love for Asian culture remained: Harutyunyan studies Korean and listens to songs in this language.
However, it would be incorrect to say that the girl had nothing to do with the modeling business. She has collaborated with several brands, but she was not invited to participate in the shows.
Fateful meeting
Everything changed in an instant. The girl went to Berlin for a concert of her favorite group, and during a walk an agent of the Gucci model house approached her, asked for permission to photograph her and give her contacts. Armine took several pictures, and, one might say, forgot about a chance meeting. Rather, she did not forget, but she did not even dare to dream that such an eminent brand would want to work with her.
But a month later, the same agent called her and offered to attend the casting. And the story of Cinderella repeated itself not only in a fairy tale, but in real life: after all, already in September Harutyunyan went to the show in Milan. The idea of the organizers was as follows: models stood on a revolving podium in clothes that looked like straitjackets. Thus, they made an attempt to ridicule the desire of society to drive everyone into one frame. And Armine just very organically blended into this action. It was her appearance that became the most striking: critics admired her exotic appearance and naturalness.
But after the furor, hard times came. Upon returning home, the newly minted model was faced with such a wave of hate on the Internet that she even thought about giving up everything and living as before. Netizens began to openly persecute Armine for a non-standard appearance, not shy of expressions and ignoring all ethical norms. Meanwhile, Aratyunyan, reading an endless stream of negative comments, the most harmless of which were that she was ugly and paid for everything, cried all day. She could not understand if she was really that terrible, or if there were so many evil people in the world. However, over time, the girl realized that the negative should not be paid attention to, and, gathering all her will into a fist, she went on to conquer the fashion world.

A few weeks later, a model with a non-standard appearance was invited to Georgia to open the show of the Dalood brand. The company even offered to pay for the flight so that the girl could represent them.
And Armine again made a splash. Despite the fact that she has little experience in the modeling business, she worked on a par with experienced colleagues. Moreover, even after the show, all the attention was riveted on her: she was interviewed, asked to take joint pictures. Moreover, not just ordinary fans, but also the luminaries of the fashion industry wanted to take a picture with her.
The girl recalls with a smile how one of the employees knocked on her hotel room and said in Armenian that she was supporting her. When leaving the hotel, almost all the staff accompanied her, and the Georgian taxi driver even refused to take a fare.
Life after success
In the spring of this year, another good news came - Harutyunyan was included in the hundred of the hottest beauties in the world. I must say that this news caused a new wave of discontent among the sofa critics: Armine, in their opinion, is in no way worthy of this honorary title. It is noteworthy that it is precisely those who stand up for natural beauty and oppose plastic surgeries and other interventions in the appearance given by nature that sprinkle saliva. Such is the paradox.
The very same girl, who made a lot of noise in the world, declares that she wants to continue her modeling career. But, according to her, she sometimes becomes embarrassed when recognized on the street. Sometimes she wants to return to a time when she could safely walk the streets without fear of being recognized. At the same time, Armine admits that she does not like it when they crawl into her soul, and therefore communicates only with those who are truly close to her.
In general, Harutyunyan is a freedom-loving person who loves to travel. But she does not plan to leave her native Armenia, because, according to her, it is in her homeland that she is charged with energy.
