The well-known director Nikita Mikhalkov, on the air of his popular program on the YouTube channel BesogonTV, commented on the investigation of his professional activities, which was conducted by TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak.
Mikhalkov showed an excerpt from the video of the scandalous presenter, in which she names the huge sums that were spent on the filming of his films and calls this situation "very suspicious."
The filmmaker said that only 22% of the budget money was spent on the creation of films, which Sobchak mentioned in her tirade, on the basis of the law "On State Support for State Cinematography." All the rest of the money, according to Mikhalkov, he found himself. Three films, according to him, he shot for more than 9 years. “All this time, if you count the extras, thousands of people had jobs, received a salary, and I made the actors' rates public,” the director explained.
Nikita Sergeevich did not fail to notice that so far no one has canceled the law on imprisonment for libel in Russia. "I am not threatening, I just … a question," Mikhalkov explained.
In one of the previous episodes of "Besogon" Mikhalkov voiced quite immodest fees of some popular Russian artists. And at the same time he expressed bewilderment - what in their lives are they so unhappy with that they urge people to go out to street protests.
Later, when commenting on this program, Mikhalkov noted that he wanted to understand how serious the civic position of those who today are ready to jeopardize human destinies is. But it turned out that from the almost hour-long broadcast, his colleagues were interested only in information about themselves.
“I am interested in this question - why are you so excited? You value Hollywood, you value American actors. But you know that they are not that they do not hide what they earn - they declare it, they advertise their earnings. Because their earnings are their calling card. The more earnings, the more interest the producers have to take them into their pictures. Why are you so indignant? Maybe you think you are not worth the money? Maybe you yourself think so? Are you embarrassed, uncomfortable? Or are you afraid that those people whom you send with anger to fight the state will turn their attention to you? So, guys, all your slogans, talk about citizenship, about overcoming fear - this is all pure crap. She is deprived of any real interest in what is happening in the country …”, concluded Nikita Mikhalkov.
