But Emilia Spivak believes that her dad began to notice her at all only when she turned 17, and she announced her desire to enter the theater. The father helped his daughter prepare for the auditions, which, I must say, were very difficult for the applicant. And after that, she more than once heard statements in her address that she acted solely thanks to her father.

Old grudge

Even at that time, Emilia Spivak decided for herself once and for all: she would never work with her father in her life. But ironically, it was in the Youth Theater on the Fontanka that she got immediately after graduation. The fact is that Alexei Uteganov staged his play "Othello" there, and when the performer of the role of Desdemona went on maternity leave, Emilia was taken in her place. Dad had to rehearse with his daughter, and it was far from the best experience in the life of an actress.

Semyon Yakovlevich behaved very coldly in the presence of other actors, and was quite cruel with his daughter. He seemed to be afraid to demonstrate his love, and therefore, as often happens, he made rather high demands on her. In the theater, Emilia and Semyon Spivak pretended that they were not at all connected by kindred feelings. Emilia, on the other hand, perceived this situation extremely painfully and even took offense at her father.

But nevertheless, despite being busy in the cinema, she remained to work in the theater, however, she did not rehearse with her father for ten years, until he decided to take her to his performance. And again there were screams, demands for everyone, including the daughter, to be extremely collected, to think quickly and react with lightning speed to the director's comments. But by that time Emilia Spivak had already matured and stopped being offended by her parent. The actress understood that by inviting her daughter to the role, he risked hearing accusations against him. That is why she was desperately afraid to let him down and worked beyond her own strength and capabilities.

Own way

In fact, she didn't have to prove anything to anyone for a long time. Her successful film roles and her experience as a guest actress in Yegor Tovstonogov's production of Pyshka at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater spoke for her. Moreover, no matter how hard the father and daughter tried to avoid gossip about "nepotism", there were always those who condemned, branded and reproached Emilia Spivak for the "special situation".

The actress admitted: she spent many years trying to win the favor of her colleagues, to prove to them that she is a good person, knows how to be friends and keep other people's secrets.
