They are not afraid of God not a damn thing, as long as the ghosts do not begin to hang them and drag them by the hair. However, then the ghosts help the Americans to fend off the German attack. But this is all nonsense, in comparison with further events, because the paratroopers find themselves in a vicious circle and cannot leave this mansion. Wherever they go from it, they return to it. The ending of the film breaks the templates in the style of the movie "Others".
The unusual film "Defector" (2020) was noted in Germany. It is not customary for the Germans to film about their victories in the war, and no one will watch about defeats. Therefore, they make all the films about the war specific, unusual. Private Walter returns from vacation to the Eastern Front in the summer of 1944. The train on which he travels is undermined by the Polish partisans, he miraculously escapes and joins the patrol team that bypasses the railway - the command does not care about him, it is easier to leave him in the Polish forests than to return to his unit, everyone has apathy. Walter makes contact with the Polish partisans through love with the Polish woman Wanda and, as the name suggests, starts working for the allies and partisans. The film is in two parts, the characters are memorable.
Another film that I would like to note and which is likely to pass by the attention of the Russian viewer is "Outpost". On October 3, 2009, the US Army suffered the heaviest one-off casualties in Afghanistan. An outpost near the village of Kamdesh lost 8 people killed and 22 wounded. This battle was preceded by events and conflicts with local residents, which are well shown in the film.
