Leonid Yakubovich - famous Soviet and Russian TV presenter, producer, actor and screenwriter, host of the entertainment program "Field of Miracles", People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2002). And also a popular favorite and an idol. Recall that the country first saw this fascinating show on October 25, 1990. Its presenter was the well-known journalist Vladislav Listyev throughout the country. And exactly a year later, on November 1, 1991, Leonid Arkadyevich Yakubovich entered the studio as a presenter, who manages this project to this day.

Prehistory of birth

The story of the acquaintance and love of the TV presenter's parents, which began on the roads of the Patriotic War, is amazing and touching. Rimma Schenker at that unfortunate time was engaged in sending parcels to soldiers to the front. The girl collected warm clothes, knitted something herself, sometimes got sweets and canned food. By the way, it was then established that all parcels with gifts were sent to the front, without specifying the addressees. One of these fell into the hands of Captain Arkady Solomonovich Yakubovich, Leonid's father.

The parcel package contained knitted mittens, both on one hand. The officer was very moved and wrote an answer to the needlewoman, a correspondence began. A little later, Rimma Semyonovna became his wife. Little Lenya was born immediately after the war. And the parents with warmth and tenderness for many years remembered those fateful mittens tied on one hand.

Childhood of Leonid

The hero of our story was born on July 31, 1945 in Moscow. His father, a career officer who went through the war from early childhood, taught his son to discipline, responsibility and independence. Once Leonid in elementary school asked his dad to check the diary, to which he sternly replied: However, Leonid did not have any special problems, the boy especially liked the lessons of history and literature. And yet, in the eighth grade, he was expelled from school due to absenteeism. And he skipped for three whole months. Of course, the reason was good …

And it was like this. Once, during the summer holidays, Yakubovich and a friend saw an ad on a board: young people were needed for an expedition to Eastern Siberia. They did not ponder for a long time. On the same day, things were collected, and the parents were warned that they were going to Siberia to earn money. No sooner said than done. Onsite, the guys found out that the job awaits them rather strange. They had to work as "live baits": to sit in the taiga on stumps, in only shorts and a quilted jacket, and write down at what time, who bit them and where. For example, and the boys' feet were smeared with various mosquito repellents - their effectiveness was just tested by this expedition.

Summer holidays flew by quickly, and the expedition continued for almost three months. The children also had to stay in the taiga forests, and upon returning to Moscow, find out that they had been expelled from school. After that, Leonid had no choice but to go to night school and gnaw at science, and at the same time earn extra money at the Tupolev aviation plant as a turner, and later as an electrician.

Having successfully completed the evening, Leonid, unexpectedly for everyone, went through a competition to three theater universities at once. However, the father insisted that his son receive a "fit for life" specialty, and then went wherever he could. It was useless to confuse his father, and Leonid had to enter the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering. However, our hero did not bury the talent in the ground. He quickly found an outlet for himself and made his debut at the Theater of Student Miniatures. Over time, assessing the situation, he completely transferred to the Civil Engineering Institute, since there was a very strong KVN team there. Bright performances, real friends, tours around the country, meeting with the soloist of the ensemble "Gorozhanki" Galina Antonova … Yakubovich, giving interviews, always noted that his student years were the happiest and most fun in his life.

After graduating from the institute in 1971, our hero, became a certified engineer for ventilation and air conditioning. And for six whole years he worked at the Likhachev plant, and for another four he was listed as an employee of the commissioning department. But the soul of the future artist did not lie for "technical" work, she thirsted for creativity.

After all, since his student years, Leonid was fond of writing scripts with an emphasis on the humorous genre. In 1980 he was even admitted to the professional committee of Moscow playwrights. Since then, Yakubovich has written more than 300 works for variety performers, among which there are many names of masters of domestic humor, in particular, Yevgeny Petrosyan, Vladimir Vinokur.

In the same 1980 he made his film debut, playing a cameo role in the drama of Yuri Yegorov "Once Upon a Time Twenty Years Later." However, the real popularity and fame came to Yakubovich from the moment he began to host the "Field of Miracles" program, replacing its first host, Vladislav Listyev.

The very simple rules of gambling are known, perhaps, to every Russian viewer: three stages, three winners and a fight in the super final. And at the end, the winner had a choice - to lose everything or win a super prize. Yakubovich's charisma, charm, enchanting energy helped this TV show win popular love. By the way, many will probably be interested to know that all the lines and actions of the presenter were and are pure improvisation - without any scripts.

Mustache Yakubovich

Separately, it should be noted Yakubovich's mustache, which has become a kind of symbol of the "Field of Miracles". They were so inseparable with the image of Leonid Arkadyevich that even in his contract with Channel One there was a clause - "Don't shave off your mustache." However, the showman wore a mustache from the very beginning of his career. It was only by an absurd accident that he shaved them off once, in 1971. One day, before an important meeting, he decided to run a marafet, and while shaving, one mustache turned out to be shorter than the other. An attempt to equalize - only aggravated the situation., - the presenter later joked about this. And from the meeting he was almost expelled - not recognized … Indeed, Leonid Yakubovich is difficult to imagine without his famous mustache.

The gushing energy that knows no boundaries brought our hero to the cinema. Already being the star of the most popular entertainment show, Yakubovich clearly showed his comedic talent in the cinema. Wives and children

Our hero met his first wife Galina Antonova as a student. She was the soloist of the ensemble "Gorozhanki", he was a member of KVN. We met at a visiting concert near Issyk-Kul. The wedding was played in the fifth year, and in 1973, a son, Artemka, was born to a young family.

Every day there were quarrels and conflicts in the family. Galina was on maternity leave, and Leonid tried with all his might to earn money to support the family. At some point, the boiling point reached its maximum. Alas, the marriage of Leonid and Galina broke up in 1995, and it was our hero who initiated the divorce.

Recently, various kinds of information about the presenter's shaky health, including his death, have often begun to appear on the internet. To this Yakubovich replies that this is just the intrigues of envious people, and that he does not intend to leave the program. Moreover, he offered the channel another show, which is being developed by the Red Square studio. The new program is expected to air on September 1 this year.

Hobby

When our hero turned 50, another passion suddenly appeared in his life: flying on sports planes. Then Yuri Nikolaev brought the artist to the aeroclub, and after the first flight, Yakubovich caught fire and began to study the profession of a pilot. Later, Leonid Arkadievich was taken to the Russian national team and the TV presenter participated in the World Aerospace Olympic Games.

P. S

And one more curious fresh fact from the history of the TV show "Field of Miracles". In connection with the pandemic that swept the whole world this year, the popular program has undergone some changes. So, on April 3, 2020, the first release of Fields of Miracles in 30 years of the program's existence was broadcast without spectators in the hall. Balloons of yellow color with the image of a smile, such as emoticons, were tied to the spectator seats. And from May 1, the spectator seats and the staircase were completely closed with a floral background image. But the applause can still be heard in the studio. Of course, in the recording …
