The name of Rosa Rymbaeva in the 70-70s of the last century was no less popular than the names of Alla Pugacheva or Sofia Rotaru. In Kazakhstan, the singer is called the golden voice and the singing nightingale of Central Asia. She was successful, famous and happy. After all, there was always a loved one next to her, a real professional, thanks to whom she became a real star. Her happiness was serene, and then everything collapsed in one moment.

How to become a star

Roza Rymbaeva was not yet 18 years old when she took part in the republican vocal competition for Victory Day. She sang with a large orchestra and won first place. Later, she watched her performance in the television diary of the competition and noticed how one of the spectators looked at her thoughtfully. The operator held the camera for a long time on this man, who was staring at the performer.

Taskin Okapov, teacher of the conservatory and chief conductor of the republican youth-pop ensemble "Gulder", not for nothing listened to the young singer so attentively. Immediately after the competition, he invited the young Rosa Rymbaeva, who had come from Semipalatinsk, to his team.

The girl's delight knew no bounds. The provincial woman first came to the capital of Kazakhstan, and now brilliant prospects opened up in front of her: a big stage, work with a professional team under the guidance of an intelligent, talented and very attractive conductor. She was ready to rehearse almost around the clock.

Taskin Okapov enjoyed working with a talented young singer. And he began to gradually turn her into a real star.

All the girls of the ensemble were in love with him. But he paid particular attention to Rose. Not because he was in love, but because the girl had already taken part in all-Union and international competitions. They meticulously worked on each vocal composition.

Taskyn sought to teach her the basics of skill, and Rosa eagerly absorbed knowledge, trying not to miss anything. And her talent played with bright facets. Of course, in the process of close work, mutual sympathy arose, and then true love came.

First, only and forever

They met in the spring, and in the fall they explained their feelings and kissed for the first time. And he proposed to her. Without any romance, casually, as if between times, he offered to write a letter to his parents.

But this was just a violation of Kazakh traditions. After all, the bride's hands had to be asked in person, having come into the house. But Taskyn nevertheless wrote a letter to the parents of his beloved. To her surprise, the answer came quite quickly, and the official consent to the marriage was obtained. However, they still had to go through the matchmaking procedure.

On December 24, the official wedding of Rosa Rymbaeva and Taskyn Okapov took place in Alma-Ata. The celebration was attended by all the musicians, artists and friends of the wonderful couple. The traditional wedding at Taskyn's in the aul, where the relatives of the newlyweds were present, took place earlier.

Happiness to be together

She became the perfect oriental wife. For her, the word of her husband was always the main thing. Rose listened to him and unquestioningly fulfilled all his requests and wishes. But Taskyn, for his part, became an ideal husband for her. She really felt like her husband. Roza Rymbaeva admits that her life with Taskyn was truly happy and devoid of any worries.

They were in no hurry to have children, considering themselves not entitled to rest on their laurels. They won every imaginable and unthinkable award and even received a three-room apartment from the state. And therefore they believed that they should work, not stop in their development.

Their first-born Ali was born when Rose was already 33 years old. The birth was very difficult. She underwent a cesarean section and had kidney failure during the operation. She was rescued, but Rosa spent 24 days in the hospital, undergoing another complicated operation.

They raised their son without the help of grandparents. Little Ali toured with his parents, because his mother continued to perform. Roza Rymbaeva was happy. She did not yet know that trouble would soon come to her house.

Eternal separation

Taskin Okapov died in his sleep due to heart problems. The depth of her grief is impossible even to comprehend. When the beloved man died, she carried his second child under her heart. Madi was born three months after the death of the pope. And Roza Rymbaeva learned to live anew.

For 20 years of marriage, Taskyn Okapov did everything to make his wife happy, he freed her from many everyday issues: he ordered and brought food himself, paid the rent, negotiated repairs.

Now she took care of four children at once on her shoulders, because two more Taskyn's nieces lived with them, orphaned in early childhood. She had to live for them, for herself and for the memory of a loved one. And she withstood the blows of fate, raised children. But he honestly admits: if Taskyn were alive, both she and the children would have reached much greater heights.

He hasn't been around for over 18 years. But time did not heal her, Roza Rymbaeva misses him today.
