Actor Anatoly Kotenyov is one of the brightest and most famous contemporary actors in Russian cinema, who has starred in more than a hundred films. He got a taste of popularity back in the 80s of the last century, when he starred in the TV movie "The Secret Fairway". But the road to the top of fame was not so easy and rosy. Ahead of the artist were the harsh 90s, complete oblivion and the second attempt to try himself in the domestic film industry.

Anatoly was helped to overcome obstacles and difficulties by his selfless diligence and perseverance. Moreover, his wife Svetlana Borovskaya, with whom he has been happily living for more than 30 years, played an important role in this, most of which the actor lives in two countries. He works in Russia and lives in Belarus with his wife and children.

Anatoly Kotenev was born in 1958 into an ordinary working-class family in the city of Sukhumi (Abkhazia). A year after his birth, the whole family moved to the city of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory. Anatoly's father worked as a machinist, and his mother was a kindergarten teacher. None of the relatives had anything to do with the world of art. In early childhood, Kotenev, like many boys, dreamed of becoming a sailor in the future. A little later, the boy became interested in aircraft modeling, and wanted to become a pilot, but over time his hobby changed dramatically …

In the seventh grade, Tolik was suddenly carried away by the stage. His first performances took place at the Miniature and Variety Theater at the Palace of Culture, where the young artist began to be entrusted with small roles in productions. And when the time came to think about further studies, the 17-year-old boy, at the insistence of his father, went to get a serious male profession. But the theatrical stage began to attract the future actor even more, and he went to Sverdlovsk, where he entered the theater school. After studying there for a year, he was drafted into the army, and after service Kotenev decided to conquer the capital, and from the first time he entered the Moscow Art Theater School. While still a student, Anatoly made his debut in the TV movie "Unknown Soldier" by Grigory Aronov.

After graduating from high school, the young actor tried to get a job in at least one of the capital's theaters. But it turned out to be not so easy, everywhere they demanded a Moscow residence permit. This was really difficult in those years. As an option, he discarded a fictitious marriage immediately, but it did not work in any other way. Finally, having lost all hope, Kotenev decided to agree to the invitation of the Minsk theater studio in Belarus. The forced move turned out to be fateful for the actor, it was there that he met his future wife, faithful friend and mother of his sons in one person.

Svetlana was born in 1969 in the town of Molodechno (Belarus). Father Alexei Petrovich dreamed of a son, and when the second daughter of Sveta was born in the family, he began to raise her like a boy. Moreover, there was no need to make any special efforts. The girl herself grew very lively, she could stand up for herself when it was needed. The father did not give much advice to his daughter, he saw that she was a leader in life and would remain such, but from childhood he taught his daughter to a sense of happiness, taught her to love people and the world around her. While studying at school, Svetlana studied well, but did not like exact sciences. She did not miss a single circle - she sang in the vocal group, was fond of handicrafts, played in the theater, studied drawing and, in addition, was an activist and social activist.

Mom had a hard time with her daughter because of many disagreements. Upon learning that her daughter was going to enter the theater institute after school, she hid her certificate. But here, however, as always, the father came to the rescue, he found the documents, took his daughter to the station and put her on the Minsk train, because he sincerely believed when she decisively declared: "Dad, I will become an artist anyway!"

In Minsk, Svetlana entered the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute, after which, unfortunately, Svetlana's further career in cinema did not work out. She played only one famous role - the wife of a paratrooper officer in the film "Deserter".

When the girl was in her first year at the institute, a fateful meeting with the already well-known actor Anatoly Kotenev took place. At that time, 31-year-old Kotenev had already managed to star in the film "Secret Fairway", and 19-year-old Borovskaya was just mastering the basics of acting. She went to the theater where Kotenev worked to meet a friend. The actor immediately noticed a spectacular brunette, and soon accidentally saw her next to the film studio. Deciding that this was fate, Kotenev invited the girl out on a date. But Svetlana Borovskaya turned out to be a proud young lady, so she agreed only after the third attempt.

The experienced actor knew firsthand what it means to be a student and live in a hostel, so he decided to conquer the girl's heart through his stomach. On the first date, Anatoly treated Svetlana to okroshka, on the second - pancakes with jam, and so on several more times. Svetlana very soon fell in love with him without memory. So it turned out that Kotenev seduced his future wife with okroshka.

When, years later, the actor was asked how he managed to attract attention and fall in love with the obstinate Svetlana, and later make her his wife, Anatoly, smiling a sly smile, replied that he deliberately made their meetings long-awaited, trying to call her less often:

Sveta's mother, having learned about her boyfriend, who was more than a dozen years older than her daughter, was at first discouraged, she dreamed so much that her daughter would marry some diplomat and live with dignity. But against true love, all prohibitions were powerless. And she had to come to terms with the choice of her daughter.

Family happiness

In 1989, Svetlana and Anatoly registered their marriage. A few years later, the USSR collapsed, and Kotenev could not find a job for a long time. It was necessary to somehow survive, and in order to somehow help his wife support the family, he even started making jewelry. By that time, they already had two sons - Vladimir (1989) and Klim (1998).

According to Anatoly, there is no better mother than Borovskaya. She is also an amazing wife, most importantly, that she is reliable. When the actor in the cinema did not have a job, the family began to have rather difficult financial times. He even had to start making and selling jewelry. Never once did Sveta allow herself to even hint to her husband that she supports her family, while he is sitting at home. She's too smart to say that. On the contrary, Svetlana appreciated that her husband was not lying on the couch complaining about fate and circumstances, but was trying to do something.

By the way, both spouses were completely normal about the fact that in the morning Sveta went to work, and Anatoly stayed at home and did the housework. He fed the children, took them to school and kindergarten, then took them away, and while the boys were not at home, he sat down and made his own decorations. For this purpose, he equipped a semblance of a jewelry workshop on the balcony of his apartment.

But the general income was still not enough, and one day Anatoly decided to go to Moscow to try his luck again in the acting profession. The wife, as it was not easy for her, found the strength to support her husband. Less than a month later, Kotenev was offered a role in the series "Moscow Windows", and the roles followed one after another, which significantly improved the financial condition of the family.

While her husband was conquering Moscow, Svetlana was building her career on Belarusian television, which, however, was very successful. She became a famous person. For more than twenty years, Borovskaya has been conducting television programs "Good Morning, Belarus!" and "Good afternoon, Belarus!" on the First National Channel. She looks great in the frame, the audience is always delighted with her. Svetlana Alekseevna is not just a popular presenter, she has long been assigned a status - the face of Belarusian television.

Now the family has everything in order with finances, there is an apartment in Minsk. Not so long ago, Anatoly Kotenev was able to make his old dream of a country house come true. On a plot of 200 square meters near Minsk, the actor built a two-story dacha. Svetlana organized the entire life there herself, and she did it with impeccable taste.

However, the most important asset - for 30 years of living together, this, of course, is not a dacha at all, but an extremely strong family, which Anatoly and Svetlana created by joint efforts, as well as their wonderful sons - Vladimir and Klim, whom they consider to be their continuation … Kotenev himself enlisted himself in the ranks of monogamous people, which is a rarity for the acting environment. And on occasion, the actor always says that over the years of living together, he and his wife have learned to understand each other without words. Here it is happiness - true …

Today Kotenev gladly gathers all his relatives in his house, goes fishing, spends time with children. Also, the actor loves to draw. On the walls of Anatoly's dacha, several of his canvases with picturesque landscapes are already hanging.

To keep up everywhere, the actor has to live in two cities: in Moscow - work and friends, in Minsk - family and fishing. And only painting, which the actor recently became interested in, has no boundaries. He writes as soon as he carves out a free minute in his busy schedule. He is also fond of chasing and making jewelry, which he gives to his beloved wife.
