Amazing painting by a contemporary artist Roman Velichko, saturated with an atmosphere of romance and philosophy, positive energy and symbolism, soft colors and play of light, has a bewitching effect on the viewer. And each of his canvases attracts with a fantastic plot and a picturesque story frozen in time. In addition, many believe that Velichko's painting is somewhat reminiscent of the stylistics of the works of Salvador Dali, but with individual shades, nuances and accents.
Roman Velichko (born 1968) hails from the city of Biysk, Altai Territory. At one time, after graduating from school, he entered the Kharkov Aviation Institute. The specialty he mastered - the designer of solid fuel rocket engines, had nothing to do with art. But fate is an amazing and unpredictable thing. Once carried away by painting, Roman did not even imagine that it was she who would become his profession. And he became interested in her while still a student. During his studies, he was a participant in four exhibitions and a contestant at the first festival of non-professional creativity in the city of Kharkov.
Returning to his hometown in Altai, in the troubled times of the collapse of a huge country, when there was no time for missiles, Roman got a job in an advertising company. And he continued to participate in exhibitions of non-traditional creativity only in Biysk. The artist still works in various agencies as a graphic designer and writes his extraordinary canvases, which are in great demand among buyers.
Roman Velichko himself says this about his painting:
Indeed, the artist's works, like his thoughts, are light, easy to perceive, executed in soft pastel colors, create an amazing mood, plunging into which the viewer seems to become an accomplice of what is happening.
Understatement is present in almost every work of the master, which carries a certain emotional state that immerses the contemplator in his own thoughts. Thus, involving him in the world of his own fantasies and conjectures.
Lithuanian painting master Petras Lukosius writes fantastic worksdedicated to the image of the pouring light in the darkness, which opens the whole world to the beholder, awakening from sleep.
