On April 30, British WWII veteran Tom Moore, who raised millions of pounds for the National Health Service, celebrated its 100th anniversary. As a gift, the retired British Armed Forces captain received more than 140 thousand greeting cards from fellow citizens, including a huge number from children and Queen Elizabeth II.
The jubilee was congratulated by Prime Minister Boris Johnson by recording a video message to Moore, in which he said that the veteran "has become a ray of light in our life."
And also Captain Thomas Moore was awarded the honorary rank of Colonel of the Army College Harrogate.
