On January 14, 2021, Boris Grachevsky, the artistic director of the Yeralash newsreel, passed away. It seems that he lived easily and knew how to enjoy every moment. Colleagues and acquaintances will forever remember him as a bright and bright person with a constant smile on his face. He will be sorely missed by everyone, but most of all - by his loved ones. In the life of the director there were three marriages, the last time he got married almost four years ago, and his youngest son is not even a year old …
35 years old, but not a lifetime
For the first time, Boris Grachevsky went to the registry office, barely returning from military service in 1970. At that distant time, he passionately dreamed of cinema and was ready to do anything in order to come out on the set again and again. At the same time, he did not care at all what he would do there. The main thing is the atmosphere of creativity and involvement in the making of films. Already in adulthood, Boris Grachevsky said: “I still treat His Majesty Kino with trepidation. The feeling that you are in creativity is amazing, this is happiness."
But there was another happiness in his life, that same true love. The chosen one of the future director Galina at that time studied at the Institute of Railways and did not immediately accept Boris's courtship. But he knew how to be persistent, and also had an amazing ability to see only good in everything. Even living together with his young wife in a barrack on the outskirts of Moscow did not frighten young Boris Grachevsky. True, shortly before the birth of the first-born Maxim, the couple nevertheless moved to the communal apartment where the husband's parents lived. In 1972, Boris and Galina Grachevsky had a son, seven years later, a daughter, Ksenia.
Boris Grachevsky became the artistic director of Yeralash back in 1974, he was adored by millions of viewers, and his colleagues treated him with great respect. The only thing the director lacked in life was the attention and recognition from his own wife.
Later, Boris Grachevsky admits that his wife's indifference to his work and achievement led to the fact that the feelings that burned so violently in his youth began to fade away, and then completely died. He showed her a fairy tale, written in three days, but Galina was not at all going to read it. She was not interested in it.
Boris Grachevsky could not live in an atmosphere of misunderstanding and indifference, and therefore left the family. The divorce after 35 years of marriage was a huge surprise for the director's friends and, of course, for his children. The daughter took the divorce as a betrayal of her father and stopped communicating with him.
Over the years, Boris Grachevsky again began to communicate with his first wife. She stopped considering him an enemy and a traitor, and talked about her grandchildren. And he, in turn, felt grateful to this woman for most of his happy life.
From love to disappointment
After parting with his first wife, Boris Yuryevich lived alone for five years, was engaged in creativity, met with friends. And in 2010 he married Anna Panasenko, who was 37 years younger than the director.
They met in 2008 at the pre-premiere screening of the film Hipsters. Anna danced boogie-woogie with such enthusiasm that it was simply impossible not to pay attention to her. And Anna could not help but notice with what eyes Boris Grachevsky is looking at her. True, as it turned out later, his surname did not mean anything to the young beauty.
Anna listened with such interest to everything that Boris Grachevsky told her that he constantly wanted to share his knowledge with her. Soon a whirlwind romance broke out, and in 2010 they went down the aisle. Boris Yuryevich was sure that Anna truly loved him, he was simply covered with her love and care.
In 2012, the couple had a daughter, Vasilisa, but two years after the birth of their daughter, Boris Grachevsky divorced his second wife. About his second marriage, Boris Yuryevich said: such things as betrayal, lies, meanness, cannot be forgiven. The director continued to communicate with his daughter and paid her good alimony.
Later happiness
Boris Grachevsky met Ekaterina Belotserkovskaya, who is 35 years younger than the director, at the Smile, Russia! in Astrakhan, where at that time the girl served in the theater, although in fact she was a Muscovite. The director was overwhelmed by feelings, and he was incredibly happy. In February 2016, he again went to the registry office, however, the wife played the wedding only after a year and a half, having arranged a very bright and kind holiday for himself and his closest friends, who gathered about 35 people.
In all his interviews in recent years, Boris Grachevsky, with delight and shine in his eyes, talked about what a wonderful wife he got. And he even said that this time he got married of convenience, sincerely hoping to live out his life in happiness and love. Catherine helped her husband cope with a serious cancer, she literally pulled him out and made him believe in recovery.
The spouses tried to make each other happy every day, prepared some touching surprises, tried to spend all their time together. And in April 2020, their son Philip was born. Boris Grachevsky admitted then: happiness simply overwhelms you when you pick up a small warm lump.
He was going to live a long life, because his beloved Katya always told him: "Don't even think about dying, live." And he was going to live, put Vasilisa and Philip on his feet, raise his son, dreamed of "seeing him in art" in the future. Unfortunately, Boris Grachevsky will not know how his Philip will grow up, what profession he will choose …
Since December 27, 2020, when Boris Grachevsky was hospitalized with coronavirus, Ekaterina Belotserkovskaya has been asking her subscribers on social networks to pray for her husband's health every day. And the doctors tirelessly tried to save his life. But on December 14, 2021, Boris Grachevsky was gone. His relatives have yet to understand that he is no more …
He left an indelible mark on the souls of millions of people who appreciated his work. But in the hearts of those whom Boris Grachevsky himself loved, he will remain forever.
"Dad" of the humorous magazine "Yeralash" called himself a man without age and, despite having undergone serious operations, was in excellent physical shape. He proudly shared his secret: he has a young wife, next to whom he simply must be healthy in mind and body. He was one of those famous people who competed quite successfully with their younger colleagues.
