Willie Kissmer's career began on stage: together with his friend, he founded the folk-rock group Broselmaschine and for ten years actively performed throughout Germany. However, after three released albums, I suddenly realized that another direction of art - painting - brings him much more joy and satisfaction. Now his paintings of half-naked girls can be found in galleries all over Europe and America, and this fame is an order of magnitude greater than what Kissmer would have achieved if he had not dared to leave music.
Of course, in the case of Willie Kissmer (Willi Kissmer) It's unfair to say that his actions are driven by a desire for fame. Rather, it is just a bonus that is logically received by a person who really found exactly the job for which he was created, exactly the job to which he is ready to give himself completely and with all passion. After five years of musical activity, Willie Kissmer suddenly set off on a big trip to Russia, Egypt, Greece, Italy - and these trips were not so much entertainment as they were educational in nature. Willie spent hours in galleries, museums, and he himself was actively involved in painting.
The attempt to divide himself between music and painting finally failed by 1980, and Kissmer, who by this time had already graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Essen and entered the University of Dautsburg to study graphics, completely retired from music and focused on visual art. By this time, he had already decided on his style, and although his paintings are exhibited in museums of modern art, they are still far from most of today's popular works - abstract and conceptual.
Kissmer's paintings are realistic and understandable without additional explanations, they glorify the beauty of the female body, its attractiveness and grace. Kissmer avoids completely nude figures, believing that it is the understatement that makes them the most attractive. Women in Kissmer's paintings are faceless, and this allows fantasy not to dwell on someone specific, but to try on the image for every woman around, making the world, perhaps more sexually charged, but also more beautiful from the aesthetic point of view.
In addition to painting, Willie Kissmer is also involved in sculpture. His bronze works echo his paintings and depict the female body. However, it must be admitted that they do not even come close in elegance or scandalousness next to the sculptures of already eminent sculptors. It is enough to compare them with the works presented in our article " 10 nude sculptures that are controversial in society. "

Why did an Italian designer provocateur create a chair in the shape of a female body, and Why did he advocate "female thinking"
The armchair in the shape of a woman's body, created by Italian designer Gaetano Pesce, has been reproduced and copied hundreds of times, without thinking about the meaning of the designer himself. Brawler and provocateur, Pesce always knew how to tell sad stories in the most extravagant way, declared that "masculine thinking" is unacceptable in modern design, and architecture should be pleasant … to touch
Bizarre surreal female images in ambiguous paintings with meaning
Perhaps Tolstoy himself or Flaubert would have willingly agreed to decorate the book pages of their works with drawings of the Italian artist Daria Petrilli, who loves to create bizarrely surreal female images of the Victorian era, where the standard of beauty was fair skin, wasp waist and elaborate outfits that brought men crazy

Why David Bowie was called the "chameleon of rock music": Masks and the evolution of the many-faced musician
Most musicians and bands choose a style for themselves and, if they get on a wave of success with it, they endlessly exploit it. Cardinally not like that (to my great regret "was", not is), I'm not afraid of this word, the great David Bowie. It seemed to his innovative ideas there was simply no end! His images changed with incredible speed, and at times were so fantastic that he rightfully earned the nickname "chameleon of rock music". Let's try to follow all the transformations of the musical innovator D
The inimitable David Bowie: The most striking images of the 1970s of the legendary British rock musician
David Bowie was called a pioneer, genius and "man from the star". He was born in London in January 1947 and his name was David Robert Jones. He changed his name in his teens when he decided to make music, and it turned out that the name David Jones was already "taken". This musician was an avid book lover, in 1996 he released the first single for Internet download, and he was also famous for his extravagance. And even after his death, he remained true to himself: in 2016, a strand of his hair was sold with auks
