There are artists who, in their work, try to embrace all genres, fully express themselves in them, others work in one direction, at the same time they are diverse and multifaceted. And there are those, like virtuoso musicians playing on one string, who choose one theme, one image and reveal it to its full breadth and depth. So is the Lithuanian painter Petras Lukosius, having chosen one single theme for himself, completely devoted himself to the image of the pouring light in the darkness, which opens the whole world to the viewer, awakening from sleep.

The master's creations are interesting for their eccentricity, where the pouring light triumphs, making its way through the depths of darkness. His amazing works, forcing you to plunge into the mystery of the nature of the sun and moon rays. Indeed, thanks to light, we see the environment and objects around us in a certain spectral color. When the nature of the light changes, the colors of objects also change.

The artist skillfully managed to tame the multi-layered streams of pouring rays and enveloped them in dense thickets, stormy sea, mountain ranges and bizarre Gothic buildings, showing in all its glory the natural grandeur of light streams.

For example, a dark, impenetrable forest always looks ominous. One hope is for a ray of light that can cut through the darkness and radically change the situation. Making its way through the dense crown of trees, even a small ray can perform a miracle. It begins to seep and flow, making its way through the impassable thickets. And his strength is so great that he can present to our eyes the extraordinary beauty and picturesqueness of that ominous forest, until recently immersed in darkness.

In his work, the artist, who has comprehended the power of the pouring light, prefers the image of the forest and the sea element, which on his canvases look like multi-layered glass bends through which the very omnipotent rays flow.

Considering the extraordinary landscapes of the master, I recalled the lines of Svetlana Koppel-Kovtun - a poetess, essayist, publicist, author of fairy tales for children and adults.

There are not so many artists who dedicated themselves to one topic in painting, polishing it to the ideal, in the history of art. As a rule, the majority is always in search of new horizons, fresh ideas and images.

And in continuation of today's topic, just right to remember about Stanislav Zoladze, a watercolourist from Poland, who painted only water, masterfully subjugating the water element of rivers, lakes, seas with his brush and paint. And at the same time he brought his art to the stage of hyperrealism.
