From October 7, the ARTMIX gallery presents a new project "Short stories", which will acquaint with the works of contemporary artists of Belarus. The exposition will feature the work of the sculptor Alexander Shappo and painters: Anna Silivonchik, Tatiana Grinevich, Ivan Semiletov. All of them are united by their studies at the Minsk State Academy of Arts. But despite the general school, everyone has an individual author's style. The naivety of images and simplicity of forms coexist in the work of artists with high professionalism and virtuoso skill. The works of the authors allow you to look at the world with different eyes, go beyond the usual and ordinary, make you think, immerse yourself in memories or discover something new in yourself, convey a kind and warm mood to the viewer.
All artists perceive the world around them brightly and creatively, while supplementing emotional sensations with philosophical reflections. In their works, each of the authors share with the viewer something intimate and personal, thoughts, feelings, experiences. Everyone tells their stories, plot and content, which will be revealed by the work itself, and we have the right to invent a continuation ourselves. Thus, the "Short Stories" project is an invitation to a sincere and sincere dialogue, a friendly cordial conversation.
The extraordinary and ambiguous combination of images and meanings that Anna Silivonchik creates in each of her paintings, almost always with a certain amount of subtle humor, give a strong emotional charge, amaze with their metaphor, and give rise to many unexpected associations.
Tatiana Grinevich's creativity is characterized by lightness and poetry, the canvases are filled with light and air. In the center of her attention is precisely the person and his spiritual world: feelings, experiences, sensations, fantasies, dreams, dreams, premonitions - everything that lies in the sphere of the irrational.
The themes of Ivan Semiletov's paintings are silence, expectation, return, loneliness … Themes are eternal inexhaustible, which allow you to analyze individual relationships in society, which contribute to understanding your own "I". It is not the plot itself, not the events that interest the author, but the emotional excitement of his invented heroes, in many ways similar to the young artist.
The work of Alexander Chappo can be characterized as a harmonious combination of different, sometimes opposite principles: grotesque and realism, humor and philosophy, passion and contemplation. In each of the artist's works, one feels a unique plastic language, understandable and accessible to everyone.
Alexander Shappo
All authors are already widely known to the viewer. Their works are in the collections of art museums and private collections in many countries of the world.
