The Martian has been living on earth for a long time, and not just anywhere, but in the very center of London! All those wishing to get acquainted with an unearthly creature are invited to the capital of England.
The Martian is an unusual installation by the English sculptor Michael Condron. This construction is a public art depicting a tripod alien from the cult novel "The War of the Worlds" by the English writer HG Wells, which at one time produced the effect of an exploding bomb.
The installation was erected on the very spot where, according to the novel by an English writer, the Martians landed on Earth. A statue of an alien stands in the middle of the street in such a pose as if he really flew in with the aim of conquering our planet.
The installation is made of stainless steel and is corrosion resistant. The tripod is 25 feet (7.5 meters) high. Interestingly, the road surface and street equipment have been redesigned to match the design style.
