Who among the girls has never dreamed of a modeling career, shooting in beautiful clothes for glossy magazines and showing at fashion weeks in European capitals? The glory of Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova or Gisele Bundchen haunts many. But Raphael Dallaporta proves that it is possible to successfully demonstrate design masterpieces without resorting to models. And it shows how exactly you can do it - under water.
You have never seen such high fashion. And it's not just the lack of models. There is nothing here that usually accompanies fashion shows: no catwalk, no makeup, no exotic decorations, no other elements that we associate with design shows or photo shoots. Only dresses - and they are beautiful in themselves.
Raphael Dallaporta took this photo series for Stilleto magazine. The underwater "show" featured works by the fashion houses of Christian Lacroix, Givenchy, Chanel, Maurizio Galante and Giorgio Armani.
Raphael is known primarily as a master of documentary photography, but underwater photography seems to be on the rise. Therefore, it is not surprising that Dallaporta decided not to stand aside, and as a result we have excellent photos of beautiful dresses.
Raphael Dallaporta is a French photographer living and working in Paris. Before starting his own career, he worked as an assistant to the famous Italian photographer Guido Mokafiko. Raphael's pictures have been published in such publications as Vogue, l'Officiel, New York Times, Telerama, Esquire, Wallpaper and others. In 2008, the work of the photographer was awarded The European Central Bank Annual Photography Award. Rafael Dallaport's portfolio can be viewed on his website.

Haute couture: shots from legendary fashion photographer Miles Aldridge
Photos of the legend of gloss photography Miles Aldridge can be recognized without hesitation and without a doubt - this is a real, concentrated fashion industry in all its beauty and deliberately artificiality, in all its chic and detachment from real life. Just as sophisticated haute couture outfits are not designed to be worn in everyday life, so Aldridge's photographs have nothing to do with ordinary portraits - they should amaze, amaze and delight
How Velazquez and Goya inspired haute couture for the 20th century's most daring fashion designer
Cristobal Balenciaga once said that "a good fashion designer must be an architect for patterns, a sculptor for form, an artist for design, a musician for harmony, and a philosopher for fit." Not surprisingly, in the 20th century, he ruled high fashion with innovative clothing inspired by unusually traditional Spanish sources. The Basque fashion designer took cues from regional clothing, folk costumes, bullfighting, flamenco dances, Catholicism and, of course, from the history of painting. And in ito
Underwater dogs. A series of funny pictures of Underwater Dogs
When a beloved dog merrily dives into a river or sea, chasing a ball or frisbee, the owners can only watch its furiously spinning tail and sparkling heels. What does the underwater world see when an animal bursts into the water column, disturbing its sleep and rest? Photographer Seth Casteel took a series of high-speed shots of the "underwater dogs" called Underwater Dogs for us to see
Underwater photography that doesn't look like underwater photography: a photography project from Adeline Mai
We have written about underwater photography more than once, but the peculiarity of this series of photographs, created by 20-year-old girl-photographer Adeline Mai, is that the water in it does not look like water. Rather, they are people immersed in the ether, who appear before us in an extreme degree of purity and harmlessness
Wire Couture Collection: Haute Couture in Barbed Wire
The dresses that Leigh Pennebaker creates are very reminiscent of fashion illustrations in the photographs. But in this case, they would hardly stand out among thousands of their own kind. In fact, the stylish and graceful works of our heroine are sculptures made of rigid barbed wire
