The audience first saw Nina Ivanova on the screen in 1944 in the film "Once upon a time there was a girl" about besieged Leningrad, and years later the premiere of the film "Spring on Zarechnaya Street" took place, making the young actress the favorite of the entire Soviet Union. But after such a brilliant start to her career, Nina Ivanova rarely starred, and then completely disappeared from the screens. On December 1, 2020, Nina Ivanova passed away. Only a few friends and relatives came to say goodbye to her.
A brilliant start
In 1944, when the Great Patriotic War was still going on, an assistant director approached Nina Ivanova on the street and asked a question, the answer to which was almost obvious: “Girl. Do you want to act in films? The nine-year-old girl really wanted, but the shooting had to take place in Leningrad, and her mother could not accompany her daughter in any way, because she had two more kids in her arms.
But a way out was found: Nina went to Leningrad with her aunt. The film about life in besieged Leningrad was a success, and Nina even got a ticket to Artek as a reward.
In 1949, big changes took place in Nina's family. First, another sister was born, and then dad just left the family. The mother of the future actress was left alone with four daughters in her arms. Nina, the eldest, realized that she had to help her mother raise her sisters, and therefore a 15-year-old schoolgirl, not having time to get a certificate of secondary education, is sent to work at the plant as an OTK controller.
Some sources mention that at the same time Nina Ivanova transferred to evening school, but in her interviews later, the actress mentioned that she could not enter GITIS due to the lack of a certificate. She could not complete her secondary education, because she was ashamed to sit down at her desk again after everyone remembered her as Tatyana Sergeevna's teacher.
The role in the film by Marlen Khutsiev and Felix Mironer "Spring on the street across the river" Nina Ivanova got quite by accident. Her friend Iskra Babich studied at VGIK, and invited Ivanova to her film "Nadia". It was in this short film that the young director Marlene Khutsiev and his colleague Felix Mironer, who were in search of the main character for their debut film, saw the girl.
Happiness that didn't work out
Filming in the film gave Nina Ivanova not only all-Union fame, but also personal happiness. The cameraman Radomir Vasilevsky was married, a little daughter was growing up in his family, but he fell madly in love with the leading actress in the film Spring on Zarechnaya Street.
Radomir Vasilevsky informed his wife about the upcoming divorce, and she tried to return her husband to the family by arriving in Odessa, where the lovers settled after the filming of the picture. However, all the admonitions were in vain, he never returned to the family. And his wife experienced extreme stress, lost her eyesight and even ended up in the hospital.
But the marriage of Nina Ivanova with her beloved did not last long. For the sake of Radomir, the actress moved from Moscow to Odessa, but a few years later the couple broke up. Subsequently, they did not comment on their marriage in any way, nor did they voice the reason for the separation. After returning to Moscow, Nina Ivanova married a second time, to the artist of the Gorky film studio Andrei Valerianov, but this family also fell apart. The actress had no children.
The career of the actress, too, by and large, did not add up. None of the films starring Nina Ivanova had the same success as Spring on Zarechnaya Street. Having starred in 1966 in the film "The Gray Disease" by Yakov Segel, the actress decided to put an end to her career.
She tried to stay in the cinema and work on the other side of the screen. At first she was accepted into the staff of the Gorky Film Studio as an assistant director, after which she became the second director. In the late 1980s, the actress retired, but later returned to the film studio, where she took part in the filming of the Yeralash newsreel, filming several issues she invented.
Locked door
And then she just disappeared. Nobody heard about her and for a long time the journalists of Moskovsky Komsomolets could not find Nina Ivanova. And when they found them, they were deeply disappointed: the actress categorically stated that she would not stir up the past. She is no longer Tatiana Sergeevna.
For many years, Nina Georgievna worked as a nurse in the oncology department at a hospital near VDNKh. Correspondents of “Moskovsky Komsomolets” were supposed to give their beloved actress a bouquet from the reader as a fulfillment of his, the reader's, New Year's wish. But Nina Ivanova refused flowers. She had a completely different life. True, after much persuasion the bouquet was taken by the sister of the actress Olga Georgievna. Nina Ivanova believed: an actress should leave beautifully and be remembered young.
While she had enough strength, Nina Georgievna took care of her loved ones, helped her younger sisters and nephews, and looked after someone all the time. All the neighbors knew that if an injection was urgently needed, Nina Georgievna would never refuse help and at the same time would not wait for gratitude.
On December 1, 2020, Nina Ivanova died of acute heart failure. Three days later, in the morgue of hospital No. 59 in Moscow, a farewell ceremony took place with the actress, to which only close friends and relatives came. Her fans sent a bouquet in memory of Tatyana Sergeevna, whom they love and remember.
The film "Spring on Zarechnaya Street" became the hallmark of Marlen Khutsiev and Felix Mironer, it was very popular with viewers. Filming took about two years, and during this time many interesting events happened, about which another film could be shot. So, for example, Nikolai Rybnikov learned the basics of the profession from a steelmaker from Zaporozhye, who became a mentor and friend of the actor for many years.
