Who do children want to be like? Superheroes, of course. The American designer is well aware of the dreams of girls and boys. Jason Ratliff … He created a series of amazingly colorful prints in which dreams are illustrated with shadows. It would seem that they are ordinary daredevils, but at heart - supermen!
Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Catwoman - all these cartoon characters have inspired childhood dreams. Their images, recreated in a mosaic manner, look bright and colorful, and their huge size (compared to babies) hints that these guys want to achieve a lot in life! The project was called "Super Shadows". “I tried to show that a child can achieve whatever he wants,” the author comments on the idea of the project. In the beginning, the first print, titled "Hero," appeared, depicting a boy dreaming of becoming as strong as Superman. The work received so many accolades that Jason Ratliff decided to continue working. This is how the cycle of illustrations was born.
Earlier we talked about Jason Ratliff's project "Walking Shadows" … Its idea is similar, but the object of "research" is the dreams of adults. As it turned out, they are no less colorful!
