What do modern boys dream about? Ask anyone, and he will give you a huge list of imaginable and inconceivable desires, and half of them coming up on the go. However, if you ask this question to 12-year-old Luka, who lives in Slovenia, his list will be small, and his dreams are as simple as they are impracticable. The child dreams of playing ball, swimming in the river, walking up the stairs … but a serious illness prevents these dreams from coming true. However, there was one curious way …
Slovenian photographer Matej Peljhan heard about Luka, who suffers from severe muscular dystrophy that prevents him from leading a normal life as a 12-year-old. Knowing from his own experience how hard it is for people with disabilities, the photographer invited the child to fulfill all his dreams by arranging for him a fabulous photo session called The Little Prince. And so the magical transformation happened.
Having picked up the background and props, having come up with a number of suitable subjects, Matei Pelzhkhan started filming. A few simple tricks and manipulations - and now the child is already rushing across the grass, squeezing a balloon in his hand, throws a basketball into the basket, dives into the river, dressed in fins, walks briskly up the stairs and even stands on his head. In general, he does everything that all his peers have done at least once in his life. Of course, the kid realizes that all this is just a game, an experiment, a performance. And in fact, he is not destined to perform all these actions without resorting to the tricks of the photographer and props. But children love to dream so much, and the pictures from The Little Prince photo shoot are just another reason to do it more often.
