Cohen's goal was to raise people's awareness of the so-called "light pollution", which also has a second name - "light smog". Light smog is created by street lighting. It is associated with overconsumption of energy, and also has a detrimental effect on the ecosystem.

Thierry Cohen was born in France in 1963. He started his professional career back in 1985, in the late 80s he was one of the first to use digital methods. He currently lives and works in Paris.
