Living in the urban jungle is not an easy test. Especially for those who love sharp impressions and are ready to test themselves for strength! In Russia, from year to year, more and more climbers, or roofers, - young people who literally storm skyscrapers, take pictures at dizzying heights and post photo reports on the web. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that these extreme climbers "climb" without insurance, only relying on their own strength!
One of the most famous Russian climbers is Marat Dyurpi. It all started when a 20-year-old guy bought a camera 1.5 years ago and started taking the first pictures from his own roof. After that, he began to ascend to other objects. In an interview, Marat often says that as a child he was a very sickly child, doctors forbade him to go in for sports because of a weak heart. However, his passion for roofing (industrial tourism, the essence of which is conquering the rooftops of the city) helped him cope with the disease!
Today, on account of Marat - dozens of conquered objects of various heights, including seven Soviet skyscrapers, as well as a monument to Peter I, whose height is 98 m! The guy publishes photo reports on his blog. Of course, many of the buildings that Marat and his friends enter are under guard, police officers and even the FSB often detain daredevils. However, this does not scare Marat, as a student of the law faculty, he knows very well what punishment he may actually face, and with what articles they may try to intimidate him.
Marat Dyurpi's hobby became widely known after in 2011 his photograph entitled “Fearless” won the “Best of Russia” prize! The guy emphasizes that the roofers have their own laws, the main thing is to never hesitate before making an ascent, and also never climb onto the roof while drunk. Of course, such tricks are forbidden for children, as well as for people who have poor balance and are afraid of heights.
Skyscrapers inspire not only Russians, Beijing artist Li Wei, using mirrors, cables and his acrobatic skills, creates art performances that capture falls and flights from high-rise buildings!
