Art is an unpredictable thing and often transcends the boundaries of the possible. It so happens that the flight of the photographer's imagination leads to the fact that the ability to fly (in the literal sense of the word) is endowed with objects that are completely uncommon. It is then that breathtaking and amazing photo projects are born. An illustrative example - a series of surreal photographic works by the Italian master Giuseppe Lo Schiavo, which received a self-explanatory name Levitation.
In art, the topic of levitation is widely in demand. Many of us remember Alexander Green's story "The Shining World", in which the main character had the ability to fly. Modern photographers often visualize flights. Suffice it to recall the works of David Nemchik, Anna Zhuravleva or Maria Netsunsky, with which we have already introduced our readers.
If the flights of people have become a phenomenon more or less familiar to the eye, then soaring objects of architecture still cause obvious bewilderment. One of the first attempts to "lift off the ground" of the building belongs to the photographer Laurent Chehere, he owns a series of works called "The Flying House". Giuseppe Lo Schiavo decided to go even further and levitate not just buildings, but famous landmarks from different parts of the world. This is how the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum and other architectural masterpieces of civilization appeared in the sky over the ocean.
Giuseppe Lo Schiavo admits that he uses the art of photography not to capture existing reality, but to realize his own vision. The photographer admits that he is used to discovering hidden meanings in familiar things. And he often perceives even black-and-white photographs with saturated colors. An attempt to overcome the laws of gravity in your photo cycle is another proof that nothing is impossible for human fantasy. But who knows, maybe some of these dreams will come true in the distant (or not so) future?

Cities and landmarks from cardboard boxes. Chris Gilmour's large-scale art project
A person does not have enough life to travel the whole world. But those who crave adventure, impressions, emotions and new landscapes outside the window, they still strive for this.
