The founder of the Leningrad group and a member of the Growth Party, Sergei Shnurov, predicted a crisis in Russia, street protests and the growth of banditry. The artist also explained his words about the collapse of Russia; a record of the conversation with him was published on the YouTube channel of the Russian edition of Forbes.
The rate of deterioration of the situation, according to him, depends on the "agility of the people" and will be directly related to the decrease in the availability of alcohol to Russians.
"The people will never be thrown by our chosen government"
Elections, church, quarantine: why does Shnurov release political poetry like a conveyor belt? “I read today that it was forbidden to sell alcohol in Transbaikalia, somewhere else, in some cities. It turns out that in those cities social tension will grow much faster and exponentially, Shnurov promised. The artist added that due to the ban on the sale of alcohol, soon there will be “black entrepreneurs who are stocked with moonshine stills” who will begin to produce alcohol on an industrial scale for the shadow market.
The performer also explained his phrase about the imminent collapse of the Russian Empire, expressed several years ago. According to him, any empire tends to collapse after the peak phase of development: “Russia has been in this state, and for quite a long time. Probably since the days of the Soviet Union. And in the Soviet Union, too, at the end of its existence, it strove to fall apart."
Earlier, Shnurov posted an obscene song on social networks, in which he criticized the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to extend the weekend until the end of April.
