Probably the only science that allows people to live simultaneously in the past and in the present, and without all these fantastic time travels, is history. More precisely, one of the most curious sections of history called archeology. So, trips to archaeological expeditions give modern people an opportunity to look into the times of the Scythians and Cossacks, and even find some objects left over from primitive people. What will remain for archaeologists of the future after you and me? The art project is dedicated to this issue. Future fossils from the studio BugHouse … BugHouse is a creative and family-friendly union of two designers and artists Jeff Klarin and Rebecca Johnson. Despite the fact that the guys are mainly engaged in illustration, painting and the development of furniture and interior design, their attempt to create a series of cement sculptures turned out to be more than successful. In this original way, they decided to suggest what items in a couple of thousand years an archaeological expedition could find on the site of a large city.
The curious art project Future Fossils, whose name translates as "Future Fossils", consists of several cement sculptures, in which it is easy to recognize cameras and movie cameras popular in the 70s and 80s of the XIX century, as well as some gadgets of the late 90s. NS. All of them are very accurately, down to the last wheel, copied from the originals and painstakingly painted to make it seem as if all these devices have really been petrified, having lain for several thousand years underground.
Cameras and movie cameras, speakers and joystick, turntable and other cement devices from the Future Fossils series cost from $ 65 to $ 495. More information about this project, as well as about the work of BugHouse in general, can be found on the website of the design studio.
