According to the Sicilian photographer Sergio Andretti, all the inhabitants of Milan are in fact … ghosts. In a project titled "Milan is a haunted city", the photographer combines monochrome images of cityscapes and human faces, thus creating a new dimension in which the merging of different lines and shapes is no longer so obvious.
The mystical series of photographs "Milan Is A Haunted City" is a tribute to the great city. When the photographer first came to Milan, the city seemed to him absolutely soulless and prosaic. The artist did not understand the city: Andretti came to Milan for work, and even ironically christened it “the office of Italy”. Over time, the attitude towards the city has changed. Now the photographer compares Milan to a gorgeous middle-aged woman: beautiful and showy in her dramatic poses. “One has only to stop and listen, and you can hear the heartbeat of this incredible city, see all its beauty. This is an extraordinary city, we can say that it is a reflection of its inhabitants,”says the artist.
Frenchwoman Noemie Goudal is also engaged in unusual experiments with space. An interesting photo project "Les Amants" is a combination of living and nonliving, nature and plastic. Huge photographic images coexist in close contact with the forest landscape. The viewer has a strange feeling of theatricality of what is happening.
