Battle of Helm's Deep - this is one of the key moments of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and one of the most ambitious battle scenes in it. I decided to recreate this plot using the constructor. Lego painter Goel Kim.
LEGO is one of the most ingenious inventions of Mankind, it is a universal material with which you can give free rein to your imagination when creating the most daring and unusual structures, such as, for example, the city of the space age Contact 1 or the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. And the artist Goel Kim made out of this completely non-children's designer a reconstruction of the Battle of Helm's Deep, described in the book by John Ronald Ruel Tolkien "The Lord of the Rings".
According to the description from the book, about thirteen thousand characters took part in this battle - 3 thousand defenders and 10 thousand attackers. Of course, Goel Kim did not recreate all this scale, but tried to get as close to it as possible.
It took Kim more than 150,000 LEGO bricks and 1,700 LEGO men to create the battle panorama. However, there are not so many people specifically there, because mainly mythological characters participated in the Battle of Helm's Deep - orcs, wargs, uruk-hai, elves, gnomes and other magical creatures. And the author tried to reveal all this diversity in his unusual work from the designer.
At the same time, at the moment, only 90 percent of the final composition of the LEGO version of the Battle of Helm's Deep is ready. So in the future, the above numbers will become even larger and more impressive!
