Crocheted Jacare's work is a huge crocodile-shaped knitted installation. Moreover, this giant reptile itself appeared a little earlier - it is part of a playground created by artist Marcia Maria Benevento. Agatha Olek just created a new "skin" for this alligator.
True, the word "only" is hardly appropriate in this situation, given the enormous size of the artificial crocodile. It took the Polish artist and her team several weeks to create this knitted leather.
Moreover, to create a crocheted Jacare crocheted installation, Agatha Olek used both acrylic yarn from North Carolina and hundreds of meters of fabric tape produced in Brazil.
Agatha Olek herself characterizes this work as a "multicultural mixture", hinting at the symbiosis of American and Brazilian materials, as well as American and Brazilian artists.
