Mosaic is one of the oldest arts on Earth! But, despite this, even in it you can find a place for something new, unexpected experiments. An example of this statement is a very unusual mosaic from London confectionery Crumbs and Doilies.

Cupcakes are an art form too! Food lovers will certainly agree with this statement. Especially after the London pastry chefs from the Crumbs and Doilies really turned their colorful creations into an impressive painting canvas!

Namely, they were conscious of a huge horizontal mosaic of about ten thousand multi-colored cupcakes of their own production! This work was named Takes the cake.

This unusual mosaic depicts a sakura tree during its flowering (cherry blossoms are known to be one of the symbols of Japan). And this work was created by order of a TV show broadcast on one of the Japanese TV channels.

This unusual edible installation was shown to the public at the Highcross Shopping Center in Leicester, England. Moreover, almost immediately after the completion of its creation, it was destroyed - any of the visitors to the mall could take one or more cupcakes (do not waste the good!)

The Crumbs and Doilies Cupcake Mosaic is like Shelley Miller's Sugar Graffiti - both of which can be eaten in the end!
