A housewife Maddie Chambers (Maddy Chambers) is a real Tolkien fan. However, her hobby is not limited only to multiple reading of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and watching its film adaptation: Maddie spent a whole year creating hobbit houses Bilbo Baggins and now proudly demonstrates his creation to everyone.
Maddie first became acquainted with the work of Tolkien at the age of ten, and since then she has re-read The Lord of the Rings more than twenty times. The girl matured, gave birth to adorable twins, and when the kids were one year old, she began to attend college. In one of the classes, students were instructed to make some kind of toy on their own, and it is not surprising that Maddy decided to create a hill with a door - supposedly a hobbit's dwelling. “But then I thought,” says the author, “why not make a removable roof so that there are small rooms inside?” This is how it all began.
Filling the small house with furniture and things turned out to be an exciting experience. Most of the items Maddie made with her own hands, borrowed something from dolls. The girl even took into account such details as the portraits of Bilbo Baggins' relatives hanging on the walls. Or, for example, the papers lying on the desk are copies of real medieval geographical maps. And next to the house, the author set up a vegetable garden where the hobbit grows vegetables.
Maddy spent a whole year on the creation of a miniature dwelling for Bilbo Baggins. According to the girl, everything could have happened much faster, but in the first place she is a young mother who devotes most of her time to her children. In addition, she has other hobbies, such as playing the guitar and kickboxing. But the main thing is not the amount of time spent, but the result, and Maddie did it just fine!
V blog Maddie Chambers can see the stages of the creation of the hill, as well as many photographs of the interior of the hobbit's house.
