Fabulous boy Peter Pan did not want to grow up so as not to part with that wonderful world of children's fantasies, in which adults and serious people are not allowed to enter. Small children, not burdened by the weight of the gnawed granite of science, fly so high in their dreams that our world looks completely different from there. And what exactly children see, plunging into the abyss of imagination and taking off on the wings of fantasy, was depicted by the artist Pierrette Diaz in a fun series of illustrations. Naive children's fantasies are born from fairy tales and cartoons, as well as from the ornate answers of parents to the immediate questions of a curious kid from the "why", "how", "and where" categories and the like. How a microwave oven heats food, why a vacuum cleaner buzzes, why are traffic lights and pedestrian crossings needed, why a mother's tummy grew and how a brother fits there - the child has his own answer to all this, which he imagines very vividly.

The artist says that the recollections of her own childhood, and of how she herself explained to herself what was happening around her, helped her draw these illustrations. Shampoo that gently and gently washes hair, cream that smoothes wrinkles, mineral water that instantly turns a dry shrub into a flowering and fragrant tree - all this is taken literally by kids, as shown in the advertisement, and by analogy they begin to fantasize about everything else. However, each of us probably had such fantasies. Just remember the vending machines with soda water - well, who didn’t think that someone was sitting inside, pouring soda water with and without syrup into glasses?

Amusing illustrations by Pierrette Diaz allow adults to return to distant childhood, and once again smile at their naive fantasies, as well as parental stories told as an explanation of certain phenomena. This probably explains the popularity of the artist's illustrations, because everyone can see himself in them, small and trusting.
