Photographer Nicolai Howalt from Holland does not photograph landscapes and portraits, not flowers and cities, not animals or natural phenomena. His photograph is as cruel as reality itself. This applies in particular to the project Car Crash Studies, which will be discussed today. Car, road, speed, collision … Have you ever had an accident? And that's great. But you probably had to either witness accidents, or see the consequences of an accident on TV or in a photo in newspapers. Nikolay Khovalt dedicated a whole art project to such events. Not to rejoice in someone else's grief, but to demonstrate horrific pictures and even so make drivers be more careful on the road.
There are no blood and corpses, tears and suffering in these pictures. But they have a mood: sadness, doom, hopelessness, abandonment and anxiety. We are not told the stories of those who were driving and sitting in the passenger seat. But everyone can imagine themselves and their loved ones in these places, and slow down a little, turn off the music in the cabin, put aside lipstick, and pay more attention to the road, signs, traffic. So that this does not happen to you.
More information about this project is on the website of Nicolai Howalt.

7 extraordinary sculptures with meaning that "crawl" out of the ground, out of the water, out of the walls
Not only political leaders and renowned figures of science and art - on the streets of cities now more and more other sculptures appear, whose purpose is to entertain, surprise, amuse, and sometimes make one think. The fact that sometimes they seem to pass through the earth's firmament or rise out of the water is not only intriguing, but also suggests that art knows no barriers and obeys not physical, but completely different laws
Pear studies. Funny photo project by Stanislav Aristov
In Yekaterinburg, a special variety of pears was bred. Having matured, they become animate, able to think and feel, move and communicate with their own kind. Unless they have not been taught to talk. One can come to such a comic conclusion after seeing a no less amusing photo project of the Russian inventor Stanislav Aristov, who played a series of miniatures with pears, combining all the photos into a cycle of "iGrushki"
Rock stars behind the scenes in the shocking photo project "The Moment After the Show"
Rock stars are recognized masters of grandiose concerts and outrageous on stage. Often the charisma of the vocalist determines the success of the group: vivid images, created contrary to all the laws of logic and existing stereotypes, are remembered for a long time by the audience. However, few people manage at least once in their life to look behind the scenes and see what happens after the lights go out, the music dies down and the crowd chanting "encore" slowly disperses. This is what the joint project of photographer Matthias Willi
How to Disassemble a Watch, Phone, and Lawnmower: The Unmounting Photo Project by Todd McLellan
In childhood, all of us were interested in learning how the surrounding objects are arranged. However, the elders for some reason did not encourage experiments in disassembling "adult" things. I had to be content with small things: cars or dolls. For many people, children's curiosity has not disappeared over the years, and no one can forbid uncles and aunts. Todd McLellan's photo project "Disassembly" is a boy's dream come true, how to disassemble a clock and see what's ticking
Boxers before and after the fight. Photo project by Nicolai Howalt
All professions are important, all professions are needed. Someone will say that this phrase has become very hackneyed over the years since it was written. And Danish artist Nicolai Howalt would agree with this man. He talks about this in his new photo project called "141 boxers", in which the word "hackneyed" in relation to the profession is not at all a metaphor
