Healthy as a bull, fat as a hippopotamus, stupid as a ram, dirty as a pig, stubborn as a donkey … These and other comparative characteristics, as well as affectionate words a la "bunny", "cat", "fish", "swallow" better confirm that we have not strayed too far from the animals. At least in habits and behavior. And sometimes in the way of life, it is not for nothing that a night worker is called an owl, and an early bird a lark … In the sculptural installations of the American master Kate Clark, people and animals are one.
And maybe it's not just that humans and animals have a lot in common. And also in the fact that people exterminate entire populations of animals and birds just for the sake of sports interest, depriving them of forests and steppes, cutting down the former and burning the latter. Maybe that's why Kate Clark's sculptures have such sad eyes.
Someone can accuse the sculptor of hypocrisy, because she works with natural fur of animals, which she herself is trying to protect. But this should be looked at from the other side: the animals whose skins the master uses are already killed, and with her creativity Kate breathes new life into them, uses them for a noble purpose. And even if her installations do not affect people's behavior, art is not a noble goal?
Kate Clark's installations take place in many major cities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In addition, these and other sculptures can be seen on her personal website.

People and light, life and death in sculptures by Bernardi Roig
From a distance, sculptures by the Spanish author Bernardi Roig can be mistaken for ordinary, living people.
