We have already talked about the work of the Vietnamese craftswoman Diem Chau on our portal Culturology.ru. This was an article about embroidered dishes, to create which the girl used porcelain cups, bowls and saucers as hoops, and in the end it seemed that the embroidery was applied directly to the porcelain. Today we will talk about Diem's equally amazing creations - about tiny sculptures that fit in a teaspoon. In this small world, only two types of materials are recognized: toothpicks and the thinnest paper. You can use rice, or you can use a cigarette - the main thing is that it is light, almost weightless. One of them is Diem Chau and makes chairs, tables, beds and other furniture, as well as tiny houses, in which only little girls can live.
When the works are ready, the author does not put them under glass and does not pack them in gift boxes. These tiny sculptures are "packed" … in dishes. Each mini-plot is either in a cup or in a saucer … This emphasizes their diminutiveness, and also protects them from the destructive effects of drafts, says Diem Chau.
These and other works of the Vietnamese craftswoman can be viewed at her official page.
