Haute fashion is treated in different ways: someone thinks that outfits with huge collars, a huge number of ruffles and an incomprehensible type of prints are sewn to be thrown away, because you can't wear it anywhere, someone thinks that high-fashion shows people how to dress in order to look stylish and beautiful and gladly buys expensive outfits of famous brands. But Caroline Andrieu believes that fashion is "an endless source of beauty and a mirror of contemporary art."
Pencil and watercolor sketches by Caroline Andrieu look very delicate and a little "sharp" and defiant at the same time. On the one hand, all this sharply smells of "materialism", but on the other hand, it emphasizes the originality and originality of individual styles. The artist says she wanted to show how clothing expresses people and art, and you can find a lot of beautiful sketches on her blog. Looking at many of them, you understand that in order to create something like this one must be not only a fashion designer, but also an artist who deeply understands people with a subtle sense of beauty.
Caroline Andrieu graduated from two universities: Atelier de Sèvres and EPSAA. Now she holds a high position in Vogue magazine (art director), she also actively participates in the development and improvement of the magazine's website. In addition, many other fashion publications collaborate with the artist. She also takes part in many fashion shows, presenting her clothing line.
The artist was simply fascinated by the clear strict forms of fashionable clothes and got a job in one of the fashion magazines, where she got her hands on sketches of the fashion designers, this was the impetus for the creation of a series of works by Carolina and a sharp take-off of her career.
Caroline Andrieu says that if she doesn’t draw, then she “can be found either riding around Paris on her favorite sports bike, or on the plane flying home to Slovakia to see her family and eat a slice of her favorite poppy seed cake.”
You can see more of Caroline Andrieu's works on her website, there is also a link to a blog, where you can also find many interesting sketches of the artist.

Haute couture: shots from legendary fashion photographer Miles Aldridge
Photos of the legend of gloss photography Miles Aldridge can be recognized without hesitation and without a doubt - this is a real, concentrated fashion industry in all its beauty and deliberately artificiality, in all its chic and detachment from real life. Just as sophisticated haute couture outfits are not designed to be worn in everyday life, so Aldridge's photographs have nothing to do with ordinary portraits - they should amaze, amaze and delight
Haute couture underwater fashion
Who among the girls has never dreamed of a modeling career, shooting in beautiful clothes for glossy magazines and showing at fashion weeks in European capitals? The glory of Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova or Gisele Bundchen haunts many. How Velazquez and Goya inspired haute couture for the 20th century's most daring fashion designer
Cristobal Balenciaga once said that "a good fashion designer must be an architect for patterns, a sculptor for form, an artist for design, a musician for harmony, and a philosopher for fit." Not surprisingly, in the 20th century, he ruled high fashion with innovative clothing inspired by unusually traditional Spanish sources. The Basque fashion designer took cues from regional clothing, folk costumes, bullfighting, flamenco dances, Catholicism and, of course, from the history of painting. And in ito
The most fashionable dogs. Four-legged "haute couture" in Florida
The dog is fashionable only from a very comfortable life in the American state of Florida. But it still happens! Wire Couture Collection: Haute Couture in Barbed Wire
The dresses that Leigh Pennebaker creates are very reminiscent of fashion illustrations in the photographs. But in this case, they would hardly stand out among thousands of their own kind. In fact, the stylish and graceful works of our heroine are sculptures made of rigid barbed wire
